User ID: 2946295 United States 05/08/2021 09:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hey GA Girl....we are neighbors! I manage at an higher end women's clothing store in North Georgia. I have been understaffed for 6 months, and we have been busier than ever. The mall that I work in recently increased hours and we can not run the longer hours because I don't have the staff to do it. I am good at my job, top of the company and loved it until recently. I literally expect to get fired at any time because of all of the policies that I am breaking daily just to get my jobe done because I can't find anyone who wants a job. Those of us that are trying to keep it going are not going to be able to do it much longer. We are burnt out and exhausted. This is when people say screw it and start walking off the job. I would prepare to see more closures because the ones that are working are going to start quitting because we can't keep up with demand with the staff we have. Quoting: KRIMMY8684 I was at my salon a couple of days ago and a older guy late 50s early 60s who was semi-retired was in there. He retired from his full-time job and thought to work 10-20 hours per week at Lowe's in Cornelia until he was old enough to file for SS. He said he told them he would not work over 20 hours and just 2-3 full-time days. They started to work him 50-60 hour weeks - every single day, and he just couldn't keep it up so he quit. They can't find the help. I've heard that a lot from people who are working - just being worked to death. My mentee is in high school and works at Walmart, supposedly part-time and is getting school credit for a works program. They've got her working 40 hour weeks at 17, and she's supposed to be keeping up with her school work? |

The way costs and taxes are rising, the average person needs at least 20 an hour to pay bills, share rent, buy gas, and eat. There wont be enough left over for anything else. It's not about work value at all, it's about cost of living... it is a self fulfilling prophecy by the leftists who want to destroy our economy print money and give to people to sit on their ass at home inflation drives up costs for everything people demand more money to "get by" while sitting on their ass at home rinse and repeat |

When CEO pay is on average 350 times higher than the workers, salaries haven't increased on average for anyone making less than 1 million in 10-15 years, and minimum wage hasn't significantly raised in percentage since 1991, the wealth gap and concentration only has one place to go. To the top! CEO pay since 1991 has gained 514% Average worked pay since 1991 has gained 58% At $15 an hour minimum wage, that would put the lowest economic sector at 78% gain in wage mandatory since 1991. I'm sure this is within your grasps to understand. A 514% gain in CEO wages with a 58% gain in wages to the first frontline workers is absolutely pathetic. The fact that you all defend this tells us all we need to know about why they keep concentrating more cash in CEO hands and why you all still live in shacks. They were often millionaires as well. They were millionaires because they would treat their employees as literal slaves. The employees would no longer give a damn about actually doing a good or better job. I have been in such restaurants and seriously wonder "Who the hell gets ketchup from China?".
