So say you make 50 dollars an hour starting tomorrow but a month from now a loaf of bread costs you 30 dollars, well are you making a living wage now? Back in the early 90's when I was making 14 dollars an hour I was able to afford a house and support my stay at home wife and 2 kids. I can't do that now at over 30 dollars an hour! Anyone under 30 should really educate themselves on how the economy works because you all are wasting your time fighting for something that won't help you at all and perhaps get it through your thick skulls that nothing in life is free and the gubbermint doesn't have any money other than yours!

I earned my pay raises from $11 when minimum wage was $10.50 and got up to $17 but you whiny fucks are going to increase the cost of living and fuck everybody up. Working in BFE Georgia atm, they have the same problem here. Now hiring signs at all business but hardly any of the dining rooms are open due to the lack of staff.

Just hired 4 people at work. Directive from head office in the US - NO WHITIES, we were supposed to focus on hiring blacks, but none applied, probably because it's an industry that doesn't attract many black people. We got 250 applications from white people several of them with passion and experience in the industry, 20 hispanics, 20 asians and a girl from Russia. The only people I saw as qualified were some of the white people including the Russian girl and one of the hispanics, but we ended up hiring 2 hispanics, 1 asian and we hired one of the white people (we expect to get berated over this from up the chain of command). I don't think they get diversity kick backs from the Canadian government, but word on the street is that they do get a kick back in the US for every diversity hire.

Except for the disability accessibility requirements, it's kind of vague- but opens employers up for lawsuits, so they have to have things in place to "prove" they are going by the law for that reason. It's stupid.

I can tell you now that they NEVER care about the disability part and if they see you're disabled they will reject your application. They only cater to blacks and browns...not even Asians. I've yet to see one disabled person in any of my jobs and I've been to almost 75 jobs already lmao
