Imagine, writing letters and mailing things to people. Imagine, carrying something to someone and physically handing it to them. Imagine writing with a pencil. Imagine the pony express. Imagine radio signals and morse code. Imagine semaphores and flag signals. Imagine using language to directly speak to someone in person. Imagine making a decision to do something without the AI telling you to do it first.

This whole notion of a "cyber" attack bring down the country is just hard to believe. Does gasoline travel through wires? Does gasoline come from hard drives? No. Unless people have become so stupid that they forgot how to manipulate the physical world, cyber attack isn't going to stop anything but tik tok nurses. Selfie takers might have some serious withdrawl, but it will do us good to get back to the analog (real) world again. How did we ever make it this far as a civilization without all the cybers? Think about it.

Gas cannot be pumped without electricity which is vulnerable to cyber attacks.

In that case that would be a EMP type situation, maybe not as severe. Then we would be back to pre 1900's.

Does this mean prices will skyrocket? On just gasoline, or oil too?

Thanks for the tip MKPitBull. I also live in Louisiana. I haven't heard anything about this yet, but I'm going to get extra gas anyway. I always stock up on gas right before hurricane season.

Re: Unkil Intel- Planned gas reduction
There are 2 things that makes prices rise...

1 - Monetary inflation. The printing of money makes each dollar worth less so you need more dollars to buy something.

2 - Fuel price inflation. We saw this under jimmy carter. A shortage of 5% made oil prices quadruple...and it affected the price of EVERYTHING.

Looks like we have the best of both worlds coming right at us!

Wouldn't surprise me OP.

Go with what you see for yourself and hear from trusted sources.

It's been super, super busy around here in central FL, basically normal pre-COVID traffic levels and the gas stations have tankers coming through all the time to fill up. So I buy the tanker driver shortage about as much as I buy the lumber shortage, which is not at all.

There are plenty of pipelines east of the Mississippi, the driver problem will be in areas without ports or pipelines.

I have seen several trans in the past week or so with dozens if not hundreds of tanker cars. One was even using both sides of the track in the same direction. New seen that before.

As a long time employee of a competitor, I've heard of no such thing. Not saying you're wrong, op. I have no faith that my employer would give us a heads up.

Pumping of crude oil is totally dependent on electricity. Hack the grid and pumps/pipelines stop.

The last time I said to friends and family to top off was when Iran lobbed a few missles our way in Iraq. That was a big nothingburger.

Regardless, learn from past hurricanes and disasters and have supplies stocked up. Rotate between seasons.

Thanks for the tip and please keep us updated.

The ongoing destruction of the USA caused by these liberal idiots will further necessitate the need for a fourth (perhaps monthly) stimulus checks further advancing their Communist agenda. It's all by design.

Re: Unkil Intel- Planned gas reduction
I don't think there will be physical shortages despite the doom of a lack of drivers. They'll just have the current drivers take more loads. Overtime for them, means higher prices at the pump. It's going to suck for people trying to make ends meet but again, I don't think it will be a shortage situation - if the price gets over $3.50 people will drive less leaving more at the stations.

Thank God I'm retired and don't have income issues. I also have several spare gas cans. My cabin is in northern Michigan which most times has more expensive gas. So when I was working and trying to make ends meet, I carried a full tank (20 gallons) of gas with me when I went up there.

Looks like those cans are going to get broke out again.

Thank you for the heads up. Arkansas here, home of Walmart, and even with that I can tell you that numerous supply chains seem strained. I NEVER see any store fully stocked any more... I mean ever. Always something out of stock, or something on back order.

We have done our best to store some essential supplies, loaded up on gas we are rotating out of, even though I have put stabil in it.

Again, thank you for the intel.

Funny. Without reading your post, I had read the writing on the wall this week and started stock extra slowly. The Tesla people are going to be in for a rude awakening when the realise it is much easier to store gas than it is electricity. That's a really nice paperweight you have sitting in your driveway.
