Big whoop, OP. One of my sisters is about to earn herself a Bachelor's Degree. Me? I have nothing to my name in this regard. I do not intend to do anything about it either. Every one of these degrees are worthless regardless. The higher educational institutes are nothing more than Leftist/Communist indoctrination centers and have been for over a decade now.

Every degree has been so heavily diluted by the so-called "educated idiots" for so long as to make every degree very much a hit-or-miss proposition. It will take over a hundred years to correct these all important issues... assuming we were to start today. Since the U.S. has no interest in this grave issue oh well. The U.S. will be continue to be flooded with utterly useless and worthless degrees held by "educated idiots".

Back in the 1990s I graduated with $12,000 in student loans, which I paid off in a year. My girlfriend graduated with $62,000 in debt, which she never paid off, and I had other female friends that did the same thing, massive debt that they could never pay off.

Women tend to be really stupid when it comes to accumulating debt.

College no longer pays off today. College is a bad investment.

I can not personally say much about the "tortured by society" part. I was regularly tortured by my father for about fourteen years of my current lifetime. On an interpersonal level outside of family I was regularly tortured by school authorities and officials. Quite alot of my peers loved to gaslight me, mentally and emotionally torture me. All for reasons not a single one of them could ever comprehend. I easily gave up on trying to make sense of any of my then ongoing torture by seemingly everyone. Do these POSes make up society itself?

Of course not. However, they did wind up souring me quite severely on alot of things early on in my lifetime. I personally do not blame society for the ways I have turned out. Mostly because I have spent many consecutive years on my spiritual developments. Since I could not do well physically due to a myriad of reasons I either could wallow in my self pity and other powerful negative emotions or overcome my intense negativity and become the individual I had been very consistently dreaming of and about for many years prior. I have personally learned to eschew from my so-called "Social Contract" nonsense. I care not for anyone else who demands me to adhere to whatever Communist bullshit this so-called "Social Contract" nonsense really is. All I really care about preparing myself for my next lifetime. My current lifetime was meant for an entirely set of reasons. I have successfully met my one and only goal in my current lifetime. I am ready to move on. Once I do, I will be living my next lifetime.

Of course, this presupposed that college jobs all pay better than non-bachelor jobs. Not sure that a teacher makes more than an electrician, a firefighter, a policeman, a plumber, or a carpenter.
