The education gap is widening. Women are getting degrees at far higher rates than men.

most women will not work in their chosen fields of study.

I know that applied to me - was able to translate a couple of books, and did work in newspapers.

Mostly Liberal Arts, Gender Studies, or Psychology degrees, I would bet.

I know a lawyer friend with 2 daughters.

one - lesbian film criticism.

the other - modern interpretive dance.


both educations were expensive to say the least, the dance one was at one of the famous East Coast colleges, Swarthmore.

Probably because of having degrees like womens are gender studies are a thing now. Though soy boys also major in those two things. I graduated 6 years ago with a STEM degree and it wasn't a politically correct shitshow at that point. Has it changed on STEM? Oh and here's another non politically correct thing. ALL of my science professors were either White or Asian. Imagine that....

They invented it as a business...University should really only be STEM and Law if you think about it...But the highly liberal tenured faculty doesn't want to leave all that money on the table so they create horse-shit courses.

I know so many people who went to Uni and only the ones who took stem are doing the job...the rest have debt, tattoos and work in bars.

I have a good friend who homeschooled both her boys. Both are doing well having learned trades.

Back in the day when we took the 11 plus girls generally did better but the teachers accepted the fact and let boys go to grammar school with lower grades or girls had to have higher grades to get in .

Perhaps boys do better when they are a little older .

I wonder if degrees will go out of favour as here the standards have decreased a lot and it is now expensive ...since the idiot government started charging huge fees as well as creating many rubbish degrees ....

I have enough tickets to put 4 men to work full time and I make more then almost all uni grads Im friends with...Trades keep the bank happy, the house is perfect and I pay almost nobody to do anything except the kid who rolls my lawn in the spring. It's better to be strong and handy with a lot of irons in the fire and the phone ringing then sitting in manufactured air all day being someones gofer.
