Like they had their shit together. I look at other guys my age and think, man..they seem so much more mature than I am. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75737323 Here I am 40 and I'm still wondering when do I grow up? I still eat Ravioli's and Pop-Tarts, play video games, and watch superhero movies. Think of me like the guy in The 40 Year Old Virgin minus the virgin part. I have a string of failed relationships, currently single. Never married, no children. Just me and my 2 dogs. Although I am responsible, handsome, and independent. 100% debt-free including my house and 2 trucks. Basically have the spirit of a young person but the ache's and pains of a retired person. Maybe it's just a mid-life crisis. Or maybe I'm autistic. I don't know. I just feel like a kid. Does any of this make sense? Peace be upon you friend, Perhaps what you are missing is the spiritual side. Are you religious? Then again I could be wrong. In any case, don't worry -things will soon come to pass Insha Allah. Allah (Subhanahu Wa TaAlaa) knows best. Have a blessed day Friend! |

If them young cunts would understand this... But...we didnt when we were young cunts... And the young cunts will ONLY understand when they hit 40 and find they are STILL YOUNG CUNTS...in a 40 year old body. The only change really is just simple experience. A toddler will run onto the road because it has no experience with them. A 10 year old wont as he has experience. So...young cunts do all kinds of crazy shit...some die...and the survivors of the crazy shit turn 40 and dont DO crazy shit anymore. Why? Experience.. But we do spend many an hour laughing at all the crazy shit we managed to somehow live through. |

Married for 11 years, kids, a 20+ long career that has led me almost to the top of my profession. I chose not to climb the last rung, because that would have required complete dedication and no family. Yet, I often feel like 17. Insecure and completely baffled by the world and the people, in particular. I just don't get people. I can play by the rules and get along with people, but I don't get them. |

Maybe it's just a mid-life crisis. Or maybe I'm autistic. I don't know. I just feel like a kid. Does any of this make sense? I feel ya bro. I'm 37 going on 18. I still goof off. I still play outside with my kids all day. I still play basketball and hell, I even have a skid steer that I play with in my back yard like a kid would with tonka trucks. Being young at heart is a good thing. My children and I enjoy a great relationship. My wife still marvels at my energy. I do get out of bed a little slower and I do grimace sometimes when putting on socks or shoes, but once I'm warmed up I'm just as agile as I was at 18. It's a blessing bro. I have a few friends my age or a tad older that take life too seriously. They forgot how to laugh and enjoy themselves, or live in the moment. They are miserable and always at the doctors with some new ailment. Embrace it bro, 40 is the new 20. I can't speak much on the being single part. But I do feel my kids and wife have enhanced my life. I had a long string of failed relationships too but luckily I met my wife when I traveled to Peru. Good luck man. Stay young at heart. The world needs this more than another asshole that takes everything to serious. Which means you can never grow up. What you saw as a child was just an illusion brought on by ignorance of the (fake) "adult" world. You can never actually mature. |

I'm thinking it's a mental issue bc they still act like boys who are 12 yrs old. I watched a video of a guy who was in his 30's and still lived with his mom, looked like her, and acted like her, too. It was weird. There was a black lady he was taping msking fried chicken for them. He just didnt have a clue about cooking or nothing. I thought, who does that? Then, I realized I was watching a man child. I think its mental and emotional, too. And there are ALOT of MenChildren out there. |
