Anonymous Coward User ID: 1397910 United States 05/05/2021 11:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Texas would be an oil rich nation, but a relatively poorly diversified one. And would have to develop its own military. And would have to negotiate a free trade agreement with the U.S, which would simply refuse Texas as a way to leverage them back into the Union again. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1397910 The Texas politicians know it’ll never happen too. They just like to dangle this secession shit in your faces from time to time like the red meat it is for all you revolutionary fetishist bumpkins. Have a nice day. Maybe more states will follow, problem solved. Adding Mississippi and Alabama will only increase the burden on Texas. The federal government gives a lot of money to those states. It’s a bad idea because it ends up weakening both “countries.” Balkanizing America is not a recipe for success. And as a more practical matter the infrastructure there isn’t capable of operating independently. Had the electrical grid there failed completely earlier this year, Texas would have become a failed state, with total supply chain disruption, irreversible water supply contamination and dependent on foreign aid. There are a lot of things you haven’t thought about. |

Texas will be sanctioned like other Countries and the GOM blockaded, Cuba style. Nothing in or out. What would Texas do in a scenario like that? Those are things that Texans need to consider if it ever gets that far. The USA would treat Texas like a jilted Fatal Attraction lover on the World scene (Think Iran, North Korea, Russia). |

I was thinking this the other day. It would cause a sort of Mason/Dixon line dividing North Georgia and South Georgia which would sort of be in a coalition with Florida being as Savannah and the Sea Islands along the coast have more in common with the tourist industry. Interesting times. |

My guess is that Texas has been selected as the leader of this section of the plan to bring states all together in order to introduce the return to a republic. People need that validation by official statements and laws, hence why the majority of people still don't realize/refuse to accept that we have already returned to a republic several months ago Same idiots who still choose to believe Biden is actually president and not some guy in a mask, CGI. I cannot believe people still have not caught onto the illusion. Amazing... There is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69065985 You may be overwhelmed with Americans running to Texas in my opinion. I know in Canastan if any province but Quebec was independent, I would leave my area to get to it. Best wishes for speedy and smooth transition. I would hope we would put a travel ban in place for the first year, or restrict travel very severely while we shut that border down and send the illegals back home. Yes. Much clean up ahead. Close border entirely, except single mexican females 19 -24 years old. Free passage for them. NO bambino’s allowed! Adopt and EMPLOY the Americans Constitution as our own. I’m sure they won’t mind, most American states have already thrown it into the trash anyway. The work ahead won’t be complicated, but the amount will be overwhelming. I wonder if this was the plan when Trump was visiting Abilene the last few days of his presidency. I sensed then that something extraordinary was in the making, but didn’t know what. Maybe Trump will be our first President? |

User ID: 79693617 United States 05/06/2021 12:36 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 59% of Texans want legalized gambling in the State. The Gov and Lt. Gov refuse to bring it to a vote. This bill is the same. It's not even going to be voted out of committee much less make it on the ballot. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 49189533 Even if Texas did have a resolution on the ballot for secession, it would fail miserably. Not everyone is a fucking redneck retard that wants to end up being a part of Mexico At this point, Mexico is way better than the bye den regime USSA. It's fucked up to say, but it's sadly true. Are you kidding me? Mexico has been sending us their blue collar workers for decades, and they send all their money back home. You know what Mexico has been doing with it? Building their infrastructure. At this point Mexico is a lot more stable than the US. They fully supported Trump's wall because they know when the USD crashes, they can use that wall to keep us out. Taking Bets: If the referendum goes through and Texas manages to secure independence, then when Texas switches back to coal power, how long before the Formerly United States declares war on the basis of "Muh Climaet" and tries to reclaim the territory by force? I'd bet within 12 months. Last Edited by Depluribus Unum on 05/06/2021 12:37 AM From many, covfefe |
