While I am still a strong advocate for coin or printed money, it is far from practical for most everyday uses. I might uses cash for tobacco or ice cream, but that is about it.

Who wants to walk inside to pay cash every time you fuel up? How many times per month do you have to drive to the bank to take out hundreds of dollars for weekly food/fuel expenses?

Charge cards is the way to go--easier to keep track of your budget and can actually profit a bit from those. The big trick is not to overspend. I have not paid a dime in interest (other than mortgage) for years. Nope, I actually collect money from the banks--can't do that with cash.

Some people are not fit to have a credit account of any sort--they should stick with cash but are likely the biggest beggars for ever more credit.

There is something wrong with people that still write checks at the grocery store.

Ordering a pizza in the digital age. This is old but I think we are getting closer.

It won't matter which one they use.

Don't see how banks are willing to go along with this and lose their percentage when so many people pay strictly with cards now.

People think Bank of America/Visa is just going to give up that business moving trillions of dollars each year?

I use cards for almost every purchase because of all the incentives like cash back programs.

What's Uncle Sam going to offer that's any better than today's debit or credit card?

A lot of you do NOT Understand the difference between Dollars and Digital Dollars...

Dollars, even in computer form, still follow the rules of paper money, they can be converted to paper cash anytime, very hard to track..

a Digital Dollar Currency, will be on a Blockchain technology, for digital use only, AND its extremely easy to track where that money goes once created, WHO it goes to, and can be digitally manipulated to 'reach in' to your account and pull taxes, fees, fines, whatever the Government wants to DO to you

you will NEVER own, true digital currency, it is created and truly owned by the Government, and by its use you allow the Government to take some of it back, tax it, fine it and ALSO set an expiration date if need be, to PREVENT you from Saving it, use it or lose it if the government so chooses to increase money velocity...

The banks want the transaction fees. And AI marketing strategies can ensue upon every transaction, bringing about 2 fold perks, dividends and embed transaction history bought and sold on international markets.

when was the last time we needed paper money to get through a year of shopping paying bills entertainment the only reason we need pocket money is drugs the handout to the poor and when we need The Mark of the Beast to buy and sell the offering to the Church will be the only thing we can't do.

When the dollar is not the world wide currency where does that leave the US holding 30Trillion in debt to other nations when they no-longer need us and come to collect what we owe them we can't pay our government workers or our military we can't borrow from them anymore. What do we do next year when we are broke? Not only broke also in debt!
