No Cannabis doesn't dumbs a person down. That it does is a rather unfortunate generalization of yours. Their synapses fire exactly right - which of course let one see what 'The System' is. Initially (of course) this creates a substantial cognitive dissonance cause of the contrast between the true experience of being and the world/society which is being presented. Often this is accompanied (understandably) by frustration and fear. This is (or can be) part of the healing process. Of course many out there who got to that point begin to literally hate cannabis.
