I read a legend of an ancient king who directed his tomb be built on the floor of the Euphrates and contain all his gold and other treasure. They built a retaining wall to hold back the water from a small section of the riverbed and built his tomb. When it was filled with all the gold and the dead king, the retaining wall was destroyed and the water covered all.
