Wow, exactly what happened. I was on top a ladder and reaching over the bush. I leaned too far lost balance thinking I turned off the hedger and turns it didn’t stop.

months ago UrgentCare over zoom call woukdnt rx abx for cat bite (all my fault ... was rushinv snd didnt realize my fearcul prone kitty was afraid when i picked her up anx she sank her mouth into the top of my hand...canine bite...i just wanted abx ... yes, it hurt and swelled overnight (fell asleep with ice on it)...UC mentioned ER would have IV abx to get abx treatment started.

take cab to ER, ER tells me they neex to admit me ... i may need hand surgery. they dose ne with heavy morphine...ask when last tetsnus shot i said idk...i did nkt consent to a vacc...they jabbed me on the freaking sly. i am arguing (high on morphine) saying no i live alone and have pets...just rx me abx like i've had before...they keep insisting (if i were single parent they wouldnt have). idk what to do and call relative to ask. had to have out of state relatives come ... over a days drive away. so out of it and surprised by all that anxiety had me and i couodnt think that i coukd just sign myself out ADA and they woukd have sent me away with an rx i'm sure...hospitals losing money due to covid...so imho (bc i've had worse bites) they are admitting to hospital more to make money.

it wasnt until i was off morphine drip and on pills that i recalled u csn sign urself out....i tell them i am leaving....they did chest xray ran bloodwork all was fine...tbey wanted to do ekg one night i said why...bc u may need hand surgery. said no hand dr here earlier today said no it is looking good...anx if that change an ekg takes like 5 minutes so looked at tech with so go fuck off with this BS. driving up the bill BS i dont need.
infectious disease dr is more than hapoy to release me when i said i was going to ADA walk....they did release instead and he said he was hapoy i was getting out of the hospital in case i wld catch something there. I said. Oh, covid? not believing in it. he said no, like staph infection.

i left and went home...bad stuff happened as a result of this which jm not going to get into, but im calling attorney soom and suing them for what they did to me...giving me a vacc without permission and taking advantage of me in a drugged state when i had good reasons for outpatient care.

Not medical advice. But...

Not sure how bad the cut is, but if it's not bleeding you shouldn't need stiches. IMO, if you aren't sure if you need stiches, you probably don't need stiches. I feel they get way over used - not that it really hurts people. Think it just helps the doctors feel like they are actually <doing> something vs just shilling for the pharma companies all day. Sure they get to bill quite a bit for it too. And if they just wrap you up or pour some glue on you... well anyone could do that.

Can always use superglue on it. It will sting quite a bit, but it does work assuming you can get the skin close enough together. Hurts quite a bit though. Wouldn't recommend it for anything deep.

Again, assuming it isn't bleeding and it's been cleaned well then just wrap the thing up tight, but not so tight you lose circulation to the finger tip and probably splint it just so you don't try to bend it.

Who knows why the doctor didn't want to do it. Maybe he felt it was too much work. Much easier to write a script - don't even have to write it these days, just a few clicks on a keyboard. In any case these days people are even crazier than they used to be... And that's saying something.
