Quoting: darth The USAF was planning to loft a target satellite to test ground based lasers. It was going to cost $60M and take 5 years. We put a retro reflector in the Space Shuttle middeck hatch window and tested the laser for $50K in three months. I got an award and a nickname. Very cool. |

Even though it is rural the dogs were hanging out in the middle of the road and they were too scared to come near anyone so I was worried they would get hit by a car. I called the local "dog warden" to help me. As this point it was getting pretty dark and we were in a field where the dogs had run. From the dark she reached out and said "here take this, it might tempt them." I assumed that she had pulled treats out of her pocket. Nope...it was a package of hot dogs. When I reached out all I felt was a cold and somewhat slimy hot dog. Luckily she couldn't see my face in the dark because I had quite the reaction. Let's just say I wasn't ready for that. |

I used to buy 1 AM hot dogs from a street vendor in downtown Knoxville when I went to the all night clubs. A church started offering free hot dogs down the block at the same time to try and save our souls. I still bought the guy's hot dogs. He had really good mango relish and the church was being shady. I'll admit... sometimes I did both... You get hungry dancing like a maniac all night. |
