When I visit my parents they have two TV's on the whole time. The commercials drive me insane. I can't believe how dumb they are and how often they repeat. Mostly for drugs. I don't have TV and everything I watch has no ads. So much nicer...

Same here bro- in the 70's when driving to Grams in the winter mom would roll up the car windows and chain smoke. You had to lay flat down in the way back just to breathe. Then coach used to punch me in the nuts for gasping for air when I had to take laps in football. Kids today are on easy street.

Yeah, my family wasn't the healthiest... When we stayed over at grandma's house she always made us hot dogs fried in butter. Ironically, I've actually cut way down on my hot dog intake. Moved over to the cheeseburger side when grilling. It's about the same cost. Decent hot dogs are like 7 or 8 bucks now.

That is funny you said that I made my mom a Nathan All beef Hot Dog fired in butter yesterday for her and her home health aide and took it over to them. First time I did that in like 10 years. I made one for myself and yum, forgot how good they are like that- so used to boiling them like you get at a NY dog stand. I do more turkey burgers now than the Bubba Burgers , but still kill 2 packs of dogs a week in the summer- I love the cheap ones better cause Nitrates taste good.

We had a hot dog lady in my hometown. She sold just dirty water dogs, chips and cans of soda. Quite a treat on a high school lunch break. I buy Nathan's if I get them.

One of my favorite memories was doing my early morning paper route on a cold winter day in Upstate NY. I was 11 or 12. It sucked. The bakery gave me a free donut and I walked across the street and bought an ice cold root beer in a can from the machine. That was a huge pick me up for a normally drab morning.

Go to the Mexican section of your supermarket. They often have it there in glass bottles.
