Anyone ever used a temporary tooth filling kit?

iused one of those uv-light kits that the dentists use..
you can find the kit on amazon pretty cheap- it comes with a uv light and some glue/filler.. all it is is uv-light activated glue-filler stuff and you shine the uv light to cure it to harden.. works pretty good

i have also used the putty-type of stuff..
it works ok but does not cure very hard so it tends to crumble and fall out...

It will keep it from hurting but eating is a problem.

They work great. Many years ago I couldn't have lived without it.

Yes. I always carry one of the kits when away from home. Make sure to clean out the tooth area your going to put the temp filling. When you put the filling compound in make sure to press out any air. Then clean the excess off around the tooth. I fixed my dil tooth that lost a filling and her dentist asked who did it for it was a great job. She was able to stay out of pain until she got to her dentist.

do what you gotta do. if it hurts that bad... yes. it'll only feel better once you remove it.

yes, have used the compound stuff before as others have mentioned. worked well for temporary use.

also used the emegency kit for those who wear braces, for one of my sons, who had a wire break loose and it kept sticking into his skin. there's some stuff to put on the end to keep that from happening.

these temporary kits are just that, meant to help us until we can get in to see our care provider.

I used it one time and an infection built up under it. Haven’t tried since.

The tooth remedy Red Cross Toothache medication worked great for me, kills the nerve and stops the pain. Haven’t had to get that tooth pulled, filled or had any more problems with it. Can find at Walgreens or elsewhere.
