Interesting. I used to visit New Mexico several times a year before the scandemic. There are few bars there. Most are restaurants with bars. Drinking and driving is very discouraged. I spend most of the time in dreadful Massachusetts where drinking is a state past time. But...in Massachusetts we are very litter aware. We like of environment free of trash.

In NM so many folk drop their trash wherever they are. My daughter has a lovely park in her backyard. There are many trash barrels. But they drop their shit right were they are lunching or snacking. It is horrifying. So, maybe less nips, or snappers, whatever you call them, will be less trash.

Now they need to ban fast-food wrappers.

It is puzzling. Does anyone have any insight into the litter problem in NM? Why would folks want to trash their beautiful parks and desert areas? Mind boggling to me.
