I Don't Want a Lover was the debut single by Scottish band Texas, taken from their first album, Southside (1989).

The music starts with blues slide guitar followed by a throbbing rhythm section before the vocals break in.

It was released on 23 January 1989 and peaked at number eight on the UK Singles Chart and number 4 in Australia...

2021 new release , tomorrow is my 40th birthday and this song just reminds me of where I am going and partly where I stand now. Over the last couple years of my life,I’ve been through a lot and working on myself as well, and this week I will be throwing my Demons over my shoulder and off my the boat. I’m sure many of us feel like this at different points in our lives, this is just one of mine.
