The New Mortal Kombat movie sucked ass

I loved both the Godzilla and Mortal Kombat franchises when I was younger. As the older I get a lot of stuff like that doesn't interest me no more for some reason. I did see the original King Kong 1933 and Godzilla 1954 on HBO Max the other day and both blew the new Godzilla vs King Kong out of the water.

Ah. I didn't watch the old Godzilla ones other than the one that had a mutated godzilla attacking new york and laying eggs...like 2000ish I think.

Yeah I heard that too. Almost saw it today. Agree the Godzilla movie was terrible. That demon slayer one is supposed to be excellent.

The actors were awful...except sub zero. Shang Tsung seemed overpowered compared to even Raiden. Scorpion should've been even with sub zero but he almost lost till his descendant joined in helping him to fight sub zero. Goro was weak and useless...beat by a guy who could barely fight in low level mma lmao. This whole thing was seriously messed up. I miss the original Raiden actor of the Highlander movies and the actors of the original and second mortal kombat movies...they were all awesome. Also, you don't need to make everyone asian just to fill quota. Raiden was fine being white just as Liu Kang was fine being asian. Re-doing all these movies to cater to this messed up generation is just going to ruin everything.

Was going to watch it...but to be honest violent movies don't interest me atm. I've gone back to finishing all 10 seasons of stargate sg1 instead.

Watched it today 4K and surround sound. The high resolution and fidelity couldn't hide the comic book script. (sorry comics) All magic, spacetime teleportation, zero actual physics. I don't mind a stretch or two but this was way, way out there. Good CG.

You deserve getting ripped off by the mass media entertainment industry if you haven't figured it out by now; "it" being that no form of fictional entertainment will ever be able to satisfy a halfway cognizant human being. Sure, you'll get duped into watching their filth based on 3 cool trailers and tons of hype, but ultimately it will leave you with no gratification whatsoever, especially the older you get.

There isn't anything new under the sun and there won't ever be anything in the entertainment segment which hasn't been before. They've overdone it in 50 years of making series, movies and music non-stop. The first two we can more or less live without, but the last one is very, very problematic for the further advancement of human kind.
