I have three cats currently, but have had many more in the span of 20 years (always a heartbreaking event when one pass). I have been bitten many times but always in the context of administration of medical treatments or claw clipping. When a cat feels threatened, will defend itself, so I don’t hold any grudge for any of those bites.
Currently two of my cats are over 10 years old so considered senior and have health issues that require chronic treatment (one of them has most likely cancer, both have kidneys in need of constant care) It means going monthly to the vet, a series of daily supplements and thus we have a routine that encompasses all day and we share with my wife to attend them. Just a few minutes ago I spent about half an hour cuddling with one of them, and it’s always a magical moment in which one can learn how marvelous can be to share one’s life with these magic beings.

Biting our dog's ear cured his uppityness.

Cats are not nearly as compliant as dogs, though. Nice technique, OP!

When I used to sleep on the couch in the living room back in the early 2000's my former cat, Roadkill, he loved to do that to me almost nightly. One night I thought I killed him. All because he tightly wedged himself between me and the back of the couch. He was hot as could be too. Nope... he was not dead. He was just frustrated with me because I woke him up from a dead sleep. Spoiled furball too.

I figured out that is why the one cat is always on the keyboard

I bit my dog one time when she stole my steak, but all I got was a mouthful of fur and she just kept on eating the stolen steak.

I have learnt that cats love life and are good companions. I have a cushion by the window behind my notebook and when I am working on it, one of them is always there. The printer is a best second preferred spot. From time to time one will come to rest in my lap and demand cuddles. Best and more refreshing pauses during the office job. I have a home office so I get cat cuddly perks.
