My best guess is that this is down to racism and hatred of the police. Now, don't get me wrong, the cops have earned the hate, as a group...

But this man, the one who saved the other girl from being stabbed, was white and African Americans have a powerful in group preference.

White people don't, so we don't understand why they are complaining over this one. Logic says that this was unfortunate, but the best that could have been done in the moment, with what the officer had on him.

This in group preference, where they trust and believe any black person over a white person, is cultural in nature. It isn't genetic, or anything like that. They can, and should, choose not to be racist, but have been told that "you can't be racist to white people" for most of a generation now.

So they have, as a group, gone to the side of evil.
