[SIMULATION THEORY] I am a Princeton Graduate. IF you believe in Sim Theory this is what I believe is happening
This is my current theory of the world we live in.

I call it the

DUEL WORLD PARADOX

Over the last five years I've focused on VR Game Engineering & Development - specifically for immersive experiences.

My projects have been in various Hackathons and received praise by judges that work for Apple, Amazon, and other companies.

In the summer of 2019, two of my students that I spend most of my time with saw a competition for an immersive VR game and we spent most of our free time coming up with ideas for it.

For anyone who hasn't experienced Immersive VR, it's pretty simple. It's no different than playing a VR game at home. But you are able to walk around a room with other people in that room seeing what you see.

An idea that we kept tossing around was that judges were getting tired of shooting games and simple walk about a pretty world adventure. And we wanted to impress them by doing something like a Milgram Experiment. We were also really entertained by that Black and Blue / White and Gold Dress meme that was popping up around social media and wanted to include something like that.

What we realized is that we could put 4 people into a room and have them experience a VR experience. But by running things in a different way 2 players could witness something different than the other 2 players in the room.

Example :

You and Your friend are Blue Team. You walk on a bridge and you see a woman in a pink jacket hit her husband.

The Red Team walks on the same bridge and they see the woman in the pink jacket get pushed by her husband and then hits him back.

It's about .4 seconds difference.

Now. Unlike most "games" . The 4 of you are told that you're on the same team from the beginning. You're not aware that you've been split. And you're not aware that what you see is slightly different than what the other team sees. This is going to cause instant conflict.

Both teams have three options.

1. Continue to persuade the other team to agree with you
2. End the game and quit
3. Become compliant. Either doubt that you saw what you saw. Or simply not want to alter your friendship/status quo by agreeing that what they saw was right and what you saw was wrong.

W/ Simulation Theory the idea is that we're all in one Matrix Board similar to the way that you play Fortnight.

But with the future of technology there's no reason why the game can't give multiple perspectives to people playing in unison to cause interactive conflict.

This would actually be a logical method of getting players to be interactive when they go through long periods of inactivity (ie Peace Time) .

The simulation might just want conflict in the same way that Fortnight or GTA wants there to be mass chaos. And to some extent if the simulation is "opt in" perhaps the majority of people playing in this simulation are wired for conflict even if their previous memories have been scratched / paused.

But the 4th option is to discuss with Blue Team / Red Team that it is entirely possible that you both saw what you saw. Because the game played a trick on the both of you. I'm not sure what that leads to. Maybe elimination.

PS: I know that DUAL and DUEL are two different things. I call it the DUEL WORLD because I feel like players are being challenged to a DUEL by the simulation by interrupting a flow of every player seeing the exact same board.

If this is correct it could also explain Mandela Effects. It's not that different than universes merging with each other and almost simplifies it.

I like this theory OP!

So in the case of the George Floyd situation. You have people of two different races that see the same images but perhaps they are seeing slightly different versions of it.

Liberals could see the police officer being far more violent with George.
Conservatives might see George being more violent with the Police Officers.

This could be a reason why everything seems 50/50 with everything.

The question might be are there people on earth who are always aware that this is happening?

Interesting, the event with the woman hitting her husband are there's literally 2 events happening (1 version for each group) or is one event happening which the viewed from either different perspectives or different points in time?

Well it's interesting you call it (duel world paradox) as my personal conclusion on existence was that we exist in "paradox existence”

Yes life is without activites is death no?

RE:

Everything would be slight variations in very short time periods. It'd be harder to pull off if half of the people thought JFK was alive and half of the people thought he was dead. And that'd probably give up the game being an unreliable narrator.

But with small changes the game could continue for years.

Yes. Group 1 and Group 2 see the same 2 hour movie for the most part. There's 5 seconds of that movie that Group 1 sees differently than Group 2.

Because they can agree on consensus for 119.95 of the film. They argue over the .05 of the film because they believe it's human judgement / error / flaws in design.

I can see how that may relate to our world where we all think we're seeing the same thing but can easily produce differing opinions on what was just witnessed

yeah, you couldn't do it with "I saw that Stock Price was 55 dollars" vs "I saw that Stock Price was 45 dollars".

the simulation could make things more attractive though I suppose. Maybe certain women on Fox News look attractive to TEAM A and TEAM B thinks they look worse.

Certain foods might taste great to Team A and team B might think they taste horrible. Smells would be a big thing to play around with as well.

Add in the fact that both teams might have devils on their own shoulders that want to put into your head that the other side has something flawed with them ...and you got yourself a stew!
