Ain't that right. Living on the street is obviously a public health crisis waiting to happen during a Covid pandemic. I completely agree. |

The so called pandemic did not kill the homeless. So other measures must be taken. People are so scared of covid yet the unhealthy homeless thrived. Let that sink in. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 80269370 United States 04/21/2021 09:18 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It means they disappear. Quoting: Irbancowgirl People will Bitch in one or two articles about a handful of homeless being resettled near them. It will be one or two mentions with all neighbors complaining. By October people will be advocating for their early demise for being on the street. This act will justify killing people who are caught out of compliance. “Kill the filthy disease spreaders!” Will be their rallying cry. Horrible. They will only settle the families and those that are mentally sane for the public to see. And only fir a little while until people forget. The rest will be disappeared. No homeless will be allowed like this again. |

Carter issued a preliminary injunction Tuesday ordering the city and county of Los Angeles to ensure that every homeless person living in the notorious Skid Row district has housing by October 18 this year. The Los Angeles Times reported: Judge David O. Carter granted a preliminary injunction sought by the plaintiffs in the case last week and now is telling the city and county that they must find single women and unaccompanied children on skid row a place to stay within 90 days, followed by helping families within 120 days and finally, by Oct. 18, offering every homeless person on skid row housing or shelter. “Los Angeles has lost its parks, beaches, schools, sidewalks, and highway systems due to the inaction of city and county officials who have left our homeless citizens with no other place to turn,” Carter wrote in a 110-page brief laced with quotes from Abraham Lincoln and an extensive history of how skid row was first created. Elsewhere in the decision, the Judge Carter — a Bill Clinton appointee — cited claims of “systemic racism,” and argued that homelessness is partly a result of historical racial discrimination. And then they won’t be seen again. |

[link to www.youtube.com (secure)] Skid Row is over 100 years old. It's LAs Bowery. The difference is there used to be super cheap flop houses, motels and SROs where these people could be housed. Alll the infrastucrture that used to house the indigent of society was takin away. The other issue is homeless migration. There are hundreds of Gypsy homeless who wander the country seasonally, begging for money and just rambling. This people don't want to be housed permanently. Get the women with children off the streets first, that is societies main concern. Even a hotel room is better than the streets. I once met a women who was in a welfare hotel room with three kids, it was a lot better than nothing. You get the fuctioning people off the streets first. |

Cheaper if you hire the ones who already have their own weapons. What's ammo, with so much at stake? Spare the young kiddos, the elites may be interested in the best of them. signatures so often represent submission to criminal authority, so I am averse to signatures in any designation. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 80269370 United States 04/21/2021 09:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There are millions of children in the United States who live in poverty and hundreds of thousands of homeless US citizens who need help. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 66285793 The problem is no one is really helping them. Most don’t care because they are trying to keep their heads above the water. Can you help? So the government will get rid of them. People will be glad they have their streets and cities back without all the violence and poop. No one will say a thing. At least not for long. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 80269370 United States 04/21/2021 09:31 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Looks like the homeless are out control now. Not just a small area either. It’s a public safety hazard. Unless we all want to go out there and adopt a homeless person there’s nothing anyone can do to stop the inevitable. It sucks. So the ones who are just mooching off the city and not mentally ill better get out of there. There is no free lunch anymore. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 80269370 United States 04/21/2021 09:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No one likes what is going to happen to the homeless but no one will lift a finger to help either. Most people can’t. People will just be happy that the streets and cities are safe and clean again. No one likes to be accosted by the homeless when all you want to do is enjoy downtown and the beaches. Not to mention other public venues. And prime real estate will be opened up and the city revitalized. Anyone who wants to get mad about this really needs to go there and fight for the homeless. |
