ive been using Kratom for 15-16 years, ive tried just about everything.
Most kratom out there is bunk, poor quality and misrepresented.
Kratom effects differ depending on the color of the vein, strain, where and how it was grown, the where it was grown bit is HUGE. 95% of the kratom you will find is grown on plantations in Indonesia. Some vendors go to great lengths to source Kratom from their natural environment. PDO Botanicals is one of the best I've come across though there are a few others.
For a very relaxing calming experience stay away from ALL whites! these people commenting on using white vein for anxiety are setting you up for a really bad experience.
Yellow/Gold vein are just aged whites, mellower, less edgy.
Green Vein are both energetic and eurphoric, i would stay clear of most, though REAL Vietnamese Green or Green Riau (From Riau) are on the more mellow feel good side...Even Cambodian Green Vein might work for you.
maeng da, trully just means the good shit, picked at its prime and should be tested proving its potency reflects the distinction of "maeng da" also "spiked leaf" or "Horned leaf" may fall under the same category as "maeng da", No maeng da is NOT a GMO variety...lots of BS to wade through!
I recommend a good red, REAL red vein Thai or a red vein from Vietnam or Riau would hit the spot.
The longer Ive used Kratom the less i take, currently 1/2 teaspoon per dose of plain leaf, supper fine grind does the trick, My first experience was 14 grams cooked down into a thick tea and drank in one go...LMAO while throwing up! Took years to figure out it was a good medicine, not a drug to abuse...Start small, work your way up to a dose that works for you. Effects kick in after 10-15 min, so its really easy to bump it up if the dose isnt cutting it.
