I had no idea about their past history will someone please elaborate? They both worked security at a local nightclub. Some accounts say they must have known each other... others say not necessarily, because one worked inside and the other worked outside, different shifts/responsibilities. It's conceivable they did know each other. I think I even read somewhere they had a previous altercation... but who really knows? Either way, it was ruled not admissible in court, FWIW. WHY? Seems the most pertinent piece of evidence in the whole situation. That judge complicit? |

The whole thing stinks. |

Not to mention GF's overdosing on fentanyl just a month prior... or his criminal history of resisting arrest/attempted double homicide (pointing gun in a pregnant woman's belly during comission of felony robbery).... all ruled "prejudicial" and inadmissible. It agrees with Maxine Waters. They're going all-in at the federal level. Quoting: oniongrass The country is going down the drain. Even if they convict Chauvin in this sham trial, he will get off on appeal. I am convinced of that. There's too much evidence of problems in the trial itself and certainly in the prejudice of the 27 million award before the trial and the behavior of people like Waters and Biden during jury deliberations. Th burden of proof in a civil trial is much lower that a criminal trial. And you dont have to convince every one of 12 jurors, some who have possible ulterior motives for voting how they do. Trying to find 12 people none of whom voted for Trump is the ONLY way Chauvin would be found guilty. Face it, we all realize that. |

Seems like he might be going to jail for ten years regardless of the George "I ate too many Drugs" Floyd trial. Quoting: Wharf Rat Less than 50%: Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis Police officer charged with second degree murder in the killing of George Floyd, has been charged with nine felony counts of aiding and abetting tax fraud in Washington County, Minn. The charges accuse Chauvin and his wife of claiming Florida residency to avoid paying Minnesota taxes, resulting in six charges for filing false or fraudulent returns and three counts for failing to file tax returns. Each charges carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Source: [link to minnesotareformer.com (secure)] Yikes... May, or may not work. Wonder how much time the wife spends each year in Florida? The Minnesota house could be a second home if she spends a good bit of time in Florida. Have no idea what those limits are, and I am too tired to look it up today. If he's physically in MN working as a police officer, he's fucked. There are some circumstances where you can dodge state income taxes, but physically working in the state in his capacity is not one of them. I actually work online, and I am moving to TX, but the company I work for is situated in CA and I'm also getting licensed in the state, so I'll still have to pay state income taxes. It pisses me off, but they can enforce against me through their long-arm statute. Sad, but the only way I could avoid paying the state's punitive income taxes is to give up my licenses, quit working for my favorite job, and sever all economic ties. It might come to that, but for now, I'll continue to pay. It's not like they haven't provided significant services to my family for the past decade. If they push it too far though I'm out. There's a limit and they're at it. This is interesting. 1. Welcome to Texas. 2. Can you get the license in Texas? Quoting: PresidentElect BlueStateRebel This is gonna end up in a mistrial or overturn of conviction on appeal. So let me get this straight, Biden isnt entitled to his opinion because he is President? WHY? I dont particularly care for Maxine Waters but she had every right to say what she did. And the protestors have every right to do what they have done, for the most part. Without a powerful reason to change, there will be none. Unless there is something to lose in it for those who are preserving this status quo, nothing will change. The police are murdering people, little kids, grandmas, war heroes, retards, people having medical emergencies. For me it has nothing to do with race, BTW, and I think people who have been tricked into thinking it is are FOOLS. |

So Trump should be prosecuted for inciting a terrorist insurrection? All Waters said is we have to get in their face even more if he gets off, AND I AGREE. The act of protesting itself is confrontational That's what protest is all about. FYI the Revolutionary war was a protest. |
