This is a well-known dodge used by MANY in government jobs to avoid the high Blue State income taxes, especially on pension payouts.

That judge is obviously biased and is trying to get a mistrial or an acquittal

What beggars belief in my opinion is how the fact Chauvin and Floyd knew each other and worked together in a seedy nightclub known for laundering money and druggies was never brought up

Biased, maybe... but my interpretation is he's biased for the State. (Allowing a juror who said under oath that "black lives matter more than white lives"?) Not dismissing the charges at many points during the trial when it was (in my opinion) warranted?

I have no stance on D.C.'s tax/financial problems, but as far as the GF trial goes, I think Judge Cahill is covering his own ass and letting this thing run its course despite legitimate legal arguments to declare a mistrial or dismiss the charges altogether. (Including Maxine Waters potentially influencing the jury, etc. and many other reasons)

The fact Floyd and Chauvin knew each other and Chauvin wasn't particularly fond of Floyd was very pertinent to this case.

What if Floyd ended up with counterfeit money that came from Chauvin, or DRUGS?


Would that be motive enough for murder?

He cant dismiss the charges unilaterally. The prosecutor would have to agree to a motion by the defense, or make the motion himself. What the judge CAN do is declare a mistrial, which would place Chauvins fate out of his hands.

I think there is a big coverup of corruption afoot.

I will say that GF's history of overdosing on the very same drugs he took the day he died, and criminal activity (putting a loaded gun in a pregnant woman's belly while breaking into her apartment posing as a plumber) is equally as disturbing, in the sense that these events were not mentioned during the trial either.

But that's my moral take on things, not legal analysis. (I guess they have reasons for preventing these kinds of "prejudicial" facts to not be heard by the jury.)
