Nelson: "Every expert has agreed that non-deadly force can be used to subdue a suspect."

^^^THIS^^^

The fact that GF died does not mean that the use of non-deadly force was not used, nor that it was not reasonable!

So what is the gut feeling here? Will he be found guilty of any of the charges?

While I think he is 100% innocent and should walk, I'm guessing he'll be found guilty of manslaughter.

If there's justice, no. He's acquitted and free to go.

I think hes getting acquitted of all charges because he was suffocating due to the drugs before he was even on the floor and that the police training from minneapolis trains the cops to put knees on the neck. They are going to burn this country down after the acquital.

I agree. I have to laugh at the prosecution showing a video of the cops trying to get Floyd into their squad car. Floyd is saying he can't get into the car because he's claustrophobic. Prosecution faulting the officers for trying to put him in the "narrow back seat" of the car when Floyd is claustrophobic.

As if Floyd has never been in a car. lol

I'm watching the defense give closing arguments. He's good. A pleasure to watch compared to the prosecution who was annoying.

Defense attorney could convince me that Chauvin is innocent.

I still think the jury will take into consideration race and riots and find Chauvin guilty.

I feel Nelson is doing a great job of showing reasonable doubt. They just cannot prove without a shadow of a doubt that Chauvin caused Floyd's death.

Yes...he's very good. Easy to watch. The prosecuting attorney was like watching Biden, Pelosi or some other annoying character arguing a point. And that's not because I think Chauvin is innocent. I have no opinion.

Just catching up on the closing. The prosecutor is trying way too hard to make George Floyd seem like a saint. He was just passing a bad twenty. No biggie. He was just passed out intoxicated in a car which is a DUI. No biggie. He was compliant. Um OK.

I get it. BLM has made Floyd out to be a saint. The media has gone along with it. The prosecutor is afraid to tell the truth about Floyd. But to any thinking person, this closing is insulting.

Mine too. I like how he is making them listen to what the officers were saying during this, so much emphasis was put on what Floyd was saying they probably never heard what the cops were saying.

Yeah, that’s just dumb. If that stands, guess what? Every criminal being arrested in the future will play the claustrophobia card and I guess cops will just have to walk perps to the station. But then again, jail cells are also small so I suppose the logical extension of the prosecution’s argument is we should just eliminate the criminal justice system (and thus, his job) entirely because criminals lie.

I think it will be a hung jury or they will go with manslaughter. There's probably at least a couple of die hards wanting to convict him of the more serious charges on the jury.
