Bitcoin Bullrun Cycle
It appears Bitcoin runs on a 4 year bullrun cycle. At least it has so far.

2009 - Bitcoin born

2013 (Run 1) - Bitcoin hits $1,000 USD. Falls back to $300 - $600 range.

2017 (Run 2) - Bitcoin hits $19,000 USD. Falls back to $3,000 to $6,000 range.

2021 (Run 3) - Bitcoin hits $60,000 USD. Falls back to ??????.

I suspect it will fall back, very soon, to the $20,000 to $40,000 range.

$20K to $40K is still a good range but you might want to consider taking profits now.

It is falling as we speak.

I just cashed out 50% and transferred to bank.

I am getting mine.

Time to prep for the 2025 run.

Let me fix this for you youngling....

2009 - Bitcoin Genesis Block Begins January 3, 2009

2010 Sept (Run 1)

2010 Nov (Run 2)

2011 Jan/Feb (Run 3)

2011 June (Run 4)

2011 to 2013 slow climb upward (Slow run 5)

2013 April (Run 6) $273

2013 April (Run 7) - Bitcoin hits $1,177 USD. Falls back to $163 Jan
2015. Now begins slow recovery to 2017.

2017 (Run 8) - Bitcoin hits $19,764 USD. Falls back to $3,148

2021 (Run 9) - Bitcoin hits $61,861 USD only a few months into a bull market that will go to late Fall or Winter 2021

This market correction in 2022 will not be the same as 2018 was; to many big players in this market now that have never been here before.

The Michael Saylor's, Elon Musks, Paul Tudor Jones etc don't invest to get a measly 2 or 3x or just pop in for several months. They're in for decades and long for a collateral asset and more.

I guess that would depend on what you consider as new to crypto.

I'm not a newbie by any means, but I've only been in the game since 2017.

That is irrelevant in regards to BTC trends.

I suspect we are seeing the beginnings of a downward slope.

Only time will tell, but my gut was right in 2017.

That is awesome. Congrats buddy! It's great to hear people making money no matter what. We're the very early people in this space even for new people coming into it in 2021. It's going to be a crazy decade of growth too.

I only wish I was able to buy more. I was only able to get over the several years with what money I had 3.25 BTC, 70 ETH and approximately 70K of XRP & XLM plus the recent Spark/Flare airdrop.

I know it's not anywhere near as much as others have, but I did my best to get what I could over the years. I wish I had more money to invest but that's all my retirement so I hope I get something out of it to live the rest of my years with.

I hope everyone does great, happy people, makes a happy country that creates a happy Earth... I know it's corny sounding too!

You have done better than me, it sounds like.

I purchased maybe 4btc back in May of 2017. They were around 3k then. I then bought several Eth and Ltc with that Btc, which I then spent a good majority of it all on different alts.

That was my mistake. I guess i expected them to show immediate profit, idk. I bought xrp, nexus, strattus, siacoin, digibyte, hell, you name it.

I pissed away most of my investment in new alts. Finally sold off what alts I had and finally just started to hodl.

But it was too late in the game then, so I only had meager earnings.

That would be my number 1 piece of advice to newbs. Stay in the big boys till you figure out what the game ruls are and how it is played.

I could be sitting very pretty now if I hadn't played with alts.

Don't get me wrong, some of those alts have now paid off, but things could have been much better.

I guess I am trying to say to the new folks, don't dabble in the alts until you get a firm grip on what you are doing. It is best to stay with the leaders until then.

But hey, I have made some good money. More than most working a job at Micky D's.

Be smarter than me.

Dear god we did nearly the same thing. I had 11.25 btc bought at around 2k to 3K in 2017 and 350 LTC and my Ethereums. While in the 2018 bear market I bought XRP and a few other alts with my Bitcoins/LTC & ETH. Oops very bad mistake; I watched my BTC value of my alts drop like lead in water through 2019 and also I had to live off my crypto at the same time. It was a tough 3 years. Looking back I would've just went 100% in Bitcoin in 2017 and no LTC or ETH and would've had around 18 BTC in 2017 had I done that. Then in 2020 I could've picked up my ETH, XRP and XLM if I had known 2017 lows would've come around again in 2020 3 years later. However I believed the correction was going to be over in later 2018 or early 2019. Ooops again.

After all that I still have a portfolio, not as much as it would be worth If I stayed away from the alts, but I have something at least. If XRP, XLM, ETH and this spark/flare thing perform well over the years I might be alright. Fingers crossed X

Re: Bitcoin Bullrun Cycle
Oh I have one other thing I got from all this. Valuable lessons learned about investing I didn't know many years ago before crypto. We all have to get burned to know what not to touch. Even the best get burned. The trick is to learn quick and still come out with something to work with. I feel I learned pretty quick but not as fast as I would've liked.

I feel sad when I read that people got 100% slaughtered and are out of the game.
