I signed up for Binance and now it's in verify stage, which could take weeks, so that's why I just went to Coinbase instead. I should have just bought BNB on Coinbase instead if they'll let me buy small amount to test. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 79263821 United States 04/17/2021 06:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | eth is not efficient (cheap) to move in small amounts. on cb, there is also the option to expedite the transaction, which would increase gas fees. don't know about trust wallet, but probably the same. move the slowest way next time with lowest amount of gas. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79263821 Okay, thanks, I didn't know different coins cost different amounts to move. I don't remember seeing an expedite button on Coinbase, I'll have to look for that. |

Okay, so I connected to Pancake Swap, and told it to connect to my Trust Wallet, but the Eth coin is not showing. Does it have a minimum dollar amount or does it just take a while to populate? |

User ID: 80250619 United States 04/17/2021 07:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I can't answer your questions, but do know this... Many businesses have minimums. My company has a $10 minimum just to open a project. If your project really is $1, we'll charge $11. If your project really is $1000, then $1010 isn't that much different. So, your test may not reflect any significant investment and transfers. Your $1000 purchase and transfer might still cost you $15 leaving you with $985 instead of $7 Testing is VERY SMART! but might not reflect actual fee percentages. I tested too and wasn't concerned about fees to test |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 79263821 United States 04/17/2021 07:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | cb is particularly egregious. cb charges you their exorbitant fees for your eth transaction, and they pass along the gas fees (charged by the eth network) to you as well. you would be better off buying almost ANYWHERE besides coinbase, but since it seems like you are trying to get in the game, make sure it is a reputable exchange. stay away from non-kyc exchanges unless you know what you are getting into. you might look at computer wallets like exodus which allow purchasing crypto from the wallet (yes, there are still fees) and also allow exchanging crypto pairs - although not all coins are supported - exodus does not support cake, although they regularly do add new coin support. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 80076607 Vietnam 04/17/2021 07:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Avoid using ETH the fees are stupid big. Buy BnB & stay on binance smart chain to swap in pancakeswap, lowest fees on bsc. The ETH coin won't show up on pancake because it is on ETH chain not binance chain. Because you started with ETH & with fees eating into it, then you have to deal it to BnB adds more fees. Buy BnB in binance - look at staking in acryptos or Venus, earn interest in your coins. Safemoon is probably not going to the moon, but BnB will soon be overtaking ETH. Safepal wallet is very good for BnB dapps like pancakeswap, you can import your trust wallet balances and address into safepal Look at swipe - it's a crypto credit card that can do fiat money swaps, and it's backed by binance. Probably a more solid foundation than safemoon. |
