If one is wealthy enough to educate a child via public school, the better choice would be to home school the child hiring a well-paid expert to tutor in areas where the parent is deficient.

Then for socializing, cherry-pick activities/sports so the child can develop in those ways.

Private and public schools suck. Take it from me, I taught for years and I finally fled because my conscience could not take it anymore.
