I can't imagine your grief, I just lost my father and my dog and Death can surround you in a very unexpected way. Let me remind you what my mother always says, " Your immortality lives on in your children and your grand children," ( and so on.....). Don't forget how alive your husband still is in each child of yours and nurture that with all the love you can; someday you may be a Grandmother and experience once again how the spirit of your husband lives on
We love you, we are with you and will always be here for you

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to you, emerald.

My brother passed away at age 48 from a heart attack and it was a complete, mind altering, flattening and numbing shock to lose my little brother so unexpectedly-- as I am sure it is for you --- as a husband's death must be an even worse shock.

I did not get over my little brother's death for about 10 years, ( I withdrew from life, stopped sending annual Christmas letters, and starting hoarding things a little bit) which in hindsight was a mistake since I still had a life to live.

I had to pay for my excessive grief though, since it took several months to clean up my "hoarded" basement for a house sale!! I am sure my brother would not have wanted to put me to so much trouble.

The scripture designates 40 days for extreme mourning, and I wish I had been able to keep to this advice but I was not. I hope you can at least do it in 80 days and celebrate your husband's life with eventual peace..
