They are supposed to be groomed to replace the older generation, knowing what they know, learning what they learned, so that they can learn from the elders to save time, then learn more to help progress technology and/or society. Instead, in a rush to save a penny, companies started skipping training in lieu of "on-the-job training" where the guy that was hired last week is stuck training the new hire. The result is that nobody knows what they're doing, or why. Everyone is going through the motions, trying to get to the end of their shift so they can go home and relax, waiting for Friday's paycheck so they can pay all their damn bills. Now, when things break, nobody knows how to fix it because nobody knows how each individual part works or reacts to other parts of the whole. That, and every new engineer thinks they're a genius on the fast executive track, and will retire by 30 as a millionaire. Very few want to put the time in the trenches to actually learn how to do this stuff. But there are good ones out there. It just takes a while to break through the "Everyone's a winner" programming that you have to embrace to get a college degree nowadays. Most people with the temperament and critical thinking skills it takes to make a good engineer can't bring themselves to embrace the obviously idiotic and hypocritical critical race theory required nowadays to graduate. It guarantees that nobody who has the potential to be a good engineer can bear the college core requirements. Last Edited by Depluribus Unum on 04/16/2021 07:15 PM From many, covfefe |

Quoting: eyeDR3 I had to delete the printer from my pc devices, reset the printer and start all over. 30 second process took an hour. I tried to send a text message. It will not send. I've tried switching to text only, reset, everything... And it's important. It's for business. It won't send. My card wouldn't process to buy doge. Even my cars electronics were out of whack. It started throwing an ecm code but once cleared, it's fine? My computer wouldn't recognize my camera when it's never had issues... What the eff is happening... Do you click on links at sites?
