I'm beginning to think my man and I might have it.

We have some kind of very persistent stomach bug. Not awful, like norovirus, but bad nonetheless. Today is day 5. I don't think I've ever had a stomach bug last this long.

I've read that as many as 20% only have GI symptoms. I know one lady who only had GI symptoms but it was so bad she was rushed to the hospital thinking it was appendicitis.

I was just wondering if anyone had experience with this and if they developed additional symptoms or if it stayed in the GI tract. If it is COVID and it stays where it is, I think we might have lucked out.

CoronaVirii don't affect JUST the gastro system. Coronavirii infect tissue in the nose and sometimes throat. You'd have, at the very least, mild head cold symptoms.

And we have none.

It's the time of year for norovirus, maybe we just got a mild case.

When my kids were little we got hammered with norovirus every year at this time.

There is an enterovirus going around. It could be the monkey enterovirus that they used in the J and J vaccine.

Perhaps you should check if you are using any of the dozens of hand sanitizers that have been recalled because they contain methanol.

I believe my son had it with symptoms beginning of last year Jan/Feb. He wasn't hungry, sometimes nauseous, lethargic, no appetite(and he's usually hungry all the time), diarrhea and complained that he just didn't feel well.

I think the rest of the household the it along with the flu type symptoms.

We all survived, have never been tested for antibodies and have not since that episode or ever been diagnosed with covid.

No shots in this house.

I was kind of hoping this might be the primarily gastro-covid, so that we'd develop some natural immunity.

I have no idea how none if us (2 adults 3 children) have caught it thus far, except we did get quite sick last february and the kids were negative for flu at the pediatricians. We may have had it then. It was in NJ pretty early on.

My sister's father in law and best friend's dad both died with it in the hospital.

My aunts whole family got it from her prison-guard son in law and she was hospitalized but recovered.

The lady I spoke about in the OP is a nurse and got the "gastro version" very early on - like last march.

I think the same happened with us.

It was such a bad "flu season" that when the kids got sick in february, they were all tested for the various strains of flu and all were negative for all.

It had to be COVID.

My friend caught it at the same time and ended up with myopericarditis (recent heart surgery) and double pneumonia ... then a few weeks later we learned about COVID.
