I've been shown the PD mafia, and those "good cops" are more complicit in the system being corrupt and dangerous because they stand next to the "bad" and enable it by their blind eye and silence. Our LE system is no longer for peace, law and order in service of the community. It's about PTSD-ridden Rambo soldiers and corruption for revenue. These are split second decisions and you can rerun a video in slow motion a hundred times to see if there was a gun in his hand or if and when he tossed it after the fact. At the time, though, a second or two, really. That officer could have lost his life.  nicely said and summarized, the police officer has a split second to decide whether to act or not and when guns are involved, split second/s decide whether you'll return home to your family or remain on the street for ever, the cop did the right thin within his duties and rights. I personally think that LEO in these crime-infested urban hellholes should just abandon them entirely. Not suggesting that officers completely leave the the field of law enforcement. I understand that for many of these people it's more than a career, it's a calling. But, if it were me, I would exhaust every effort to pursue this calling elsewhere. I read something from the mother saying that he was a sweet kid who wanted a career in law enforcement. I wonder if she knew what her son's nickname was. People can blame the media all they want, and yes, they play a huge role, but it all starts with the parents. How do you not know that your 13-year-old kid is running around shooting guns in the early morning hours? |

Dont forget that law enforcement are victims of this propaganda, too. My daughter took a criminal justice class just last year and they are teaching them the same propaganda in these classes. She was going to go on to police academy but changed her mind after seeing the climate now. She watches the news like everyone else, she has heard all the white guilt propaganda in the public school system. She is more skeptical and independent than most and she saw through it...not everyone does. |

In fact, I once made the decision to defend myself against an established attacker with a record the length of my arm, and it resulted in my arrest and conviction of assault when an officer flat lied on the stand, and an additional arrest for a completely fabricated charge of felony retaliation with zero evidence for which I was not indicted. Though, the felony arrest record remains. The "character disturbed" (male borderline/ASPD) attacker worked for the prison system. He was protected and his crimes covered. So, yes, I had a split second to decide to defend myself and it resulted in a conviction with numerous consequences throughout my life and all due to an untreated, functional in daily life, mentally ill person and corrupt LE, corrupt DAs and an overall corrupt system. This predator physically stalked me for more than a year afterward, destroyed property, shattered car windshields, slashed tires. I moved three times, changed cars and the police did nothing but smile. I finally left that town to protect myself. But, yeah, with that particular split second decision of mine, the only regret I have is that I was not holding a firearm. Your post is irrelevant to the points I made, but I respect you, Coastie.
