Quoting: Sodbuster The cat that bit me had a rabies vaccine, and they say rabies from cat bites are super rare. But yeah I know.... If you weren't bit you won't have rabies. "What are the chances of getting rabies from a cat scratch? Rabies is usually transmitted through the saliva of an infected animal and is most commonly spread through bites. It is still possible to get rabies from a cat scratch or a scratch from any infected animal, but it is less common." I WAS BIT and scratched. But..the cat was vaccinated against rabies - I know the cat. :DOCSRBAFFLED::redblueLED::DONTBEAPANDEMICS: Only you can stop the fake pandemic for yourself, no one will ever tell you the pandemic is over. If the cat was rabid, once the virus reaches your central nervous system, which cn take days or weeks, there is a 100% probability that you will die a very horrible death shortly therafter. Hopefully the hospital will induce coma so you don't suffer too much. How fucking stupid are you? Why? Do you think it's stupid to coerce a cat? No, but if the cat is rabid it would be very fucking stupid to apply your ignorant anti-vaxxer logic out of fear, refuse to get a rabies vaccine and then die an excruciatingly awful death. On the other hand, that would preclude passing more stupid genes on to the next generation so maybe you have a great idea there. The cat was vaccinated against rabies. The cat was mine. Depending on when the cat received a vaccine, it does not 100% rule out rabies infection. But you are scared of vaccines. So do not get a tetanus booster and by all means do not get a rabies vaccine. |

Pure natural turpentine will cure an infection from a scratch or infected bite of a cat, dog or human, also cure brown recluse spider bites, bad one this last one, the turpentine cures it up for sure. Dog bite infection heals fast with turpentine so will cat bites or scratch infections, it does not burn or hurt to use and its natural product made for pine trees. I used this all my life for infections different types and bites, a cut that infected can be cured with Natural Turpentine. I don't know about the one that are just similar to turpentine, made man is not natural, so it may not work and could burn, I don't know. (it's a new cat I just got, that got out, then I TRIED to catch!) ... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77384380 Im just telling you what the ER will tell you. If the animal hasn't had the vaccine they will want to give you the after bite vaccine. If you have the cat you can get it tested I think. Which would be a lot cheaper. That cat WAS vaccinated for rabies. I'm more concerned about bacteria and other infections. Oh, Great! Well that is a great thing. Have you had a tetanus shot in the last 5 years? I have not had a tenenus shot for decades. Do I REALLY need to get a tetanus shot? Can I TRUST a tetanus shot? Yes, tetanus shot is okay, much better than to take the risk of tetanus. I am an anti-vaxxer but I would get a tetanus shot if needed. I have cats and have been bitten in the past. Cat bites are quite infectious; even from a cat scratch I can feel immediate response of my own immune system. What I would do is firstly, assess the seriousness of the puncture wound. If it's only less than an eight of an inch you may be able to completely take care of this yourself. If deeper, just go to the urgent care and they will dress the wound properly and give you antibiotics. If I were caring for myself I would wash the wound with hot water and soap, then soak for 15 minutes in a solution of hot water and epsom salts. Then dry and apply neosporin and a bandage. If there is already a red mark around the wound, draw a line around the border with an ink pen to gauge whether the redness has spread a lot by tomorrow. Personally I keep a shtf supply of antibiotics and this is one of the rare times I would actually use it, starting right now. But if you don't have that, perhaps you have oil of oregano to take? Or colloidal silver? If you are not a prepper who has self-care for wound infections, you can either go to urgent care tonight if the wound is quite deep, or wait til tomorrow morning to see if it has plateaued and is holding steady. Even a single cat scratch can cause a mild fever--do not try to reduce the fever with aspirin/tylenol, as it is the body's defense against infection. Your body will likely ache somewhat and you could feel antsy or restless. Check on line to see the current incidence level of rabies in your area. My vet wanted to give my indoor cats rabies shots but I looked online and found that there had not been a single incidence of rabies in 40 years in my area. This cat was terrified and responded quite naturally with a bite...doesn't sound like a rabies incident at all. Good luck, keep us updated. |

He would give me black eyes and everything.. People at work... Said i was lying.. I said nope.. This when i was around 22 or so... Anyways i got home.. I.. Played.. Would fight... For fun with that siamese Kat pounced on me... Remember i was a hard working tile layer.. Working 50 hour weeks.. And i had full calluses like rocks on hands.. Kat pounced when i opened the door.. Bit my wrist.. I put neoprene on it... But it was worse n worse.. Day after day.. Then i woke up around 3 am.. I turned on the light.. Red line going up my arm.. And could not move my wrist.. So i called my dad, to come look at it and drive me to the E. R... They hooked me up to a drip... Hour later.. They said come back tomorrow.. It was like 4 am... So i said ok.. So few days later i went in the er at 4 pm.. They said 2 hour wait.. I said adios... But yea.. Dont mess around with cat bites.. Kat had to be quarantine.. For week.. Make sure no rabies.. But ya.. It was insane.. Had no idea.. An pet animal could possibly kill you that easily.. No idea.. Romans 14:11 It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God. I think its hilarious how people minimize the risk of bartonella ( cat scratch fever ) The bite is not an immediate emergency unless you see streaks going up your arm BUT you will to take antibiotics sooner than later if you dont want bartonella So just go to the Dr tomorrow and get a prescription for Zithromax and you will be just fine. Many antibiotics work against it You dont want to risk getting bartonella if you can avoid it. Some cat owners are chronic carriers of it and have chronic health issues and done know what it is. Why become a carrier when you dont have to. The risk is significant enough that its better to err on the side of caution. But yes bartonalla is the risk |

When applied to your tongue, the enzyme spreads quickly throughout your bloodstream and gets to work releasing blockers to cure any infection caused by their scratches.
