Yeah I know but it's better than cat scratch fever and other bacterial infections. I'm more concerned about bacterial infection than rabies or tetanus.

Sure as heck wouldn't enter a hospital unless I wanted to die and then my family own them 100's of thousands of dollars for killing me.

Had one of my cats bite through my finger. You need to get a bowl of hot water and epson salt and let the hand soak in it. It will pull the infection out. My hand had turned red and swollen after like 30mins and it went right away after the soak. Saved a trip to the ER room.

Cats are magical creatures. She probably just accidentally scratched you while protecting you from a demon. Just kidding, I can’t stand cat people. Disinfect with iodine and shoot that fucker if you see it again.

Within 10 days. Since cats are smaller then humans if something is wrong, it will become apparent in 5 or so days. 10 days observation is basically "double of 5" to be "double-sure".

Just randomly taking some antibiotics is becoming less and less effective with the increased spread of bacterial resistance, and it doesn't do anything against viruses (rabies is a virus).

I would pour some 70% isopropyl alcohol over it to sterilize. That is the strength recommended for COVID or general sterilization. 60% to 90% is effective, but 70% is optimal. 99% doesn't sterilize as effectively.

You only need to go to the ER if you have any deep punctures. You can't really clean a deep bite puncture. You'll need antibiotics if it's deep. Infection can set in quickly. The shape of cats teeth make it almost impossible to clean a deep puncture. If it gets worse go to the ER. As for the cat animal control will set up a trap to catch and quarantine the cat for signs of rabies. You will be offered a tetanus shot if you go to the ER but no rabies unless that cat ends up having it. It's highly unlikely the cat has rabies.

Cats carry an enzyme on the sphincters of their butt that will stop infections that are caused by their scratches. When applied to your tongue, the enzyme spreads quickly throughout your bloodstream and gets to work releasing blockers to cure any infection caused by their scratches. It’s very important to note that these enzymes will become polluted with bacteria if touched by your fingers, tools, or utensils.

You can ask for antibody testing for tetanus. But I do not know if doctors will be willing to recommend it instead of a shot(cost optimization, you know). But you can always say you have severe, life threatening allergic reaction in the past, and prefer to avoid it if possible. If you have sufficient level on antibodies you may be should be ok without the shot.

Wash the wound, apply some colloidal silver, some antibiotic ointment and keep it clean. Take some liposomal vit c and you will be fine. If you want to, get some echinacea goldenseal and take that for a few days. Iodine is another great thing to put on it.

Do not worry about rabies, that is ridiculous.

I got a deep bite on my wrist and cleaned it myself. The next morning I couldn't move my arm. Like as in I was telling my arm to move and nothing was moving. So, if you have any deep bites just go to the ER to get the right antibiotics.

Edit. I used c. Silver, iodine, hydrogen peroxide and pretty much all the other things that people have suggested and it didn't help.

Soak it in Epsom Salt.
