Derek Chauvin Trial - Day 14 - LiveStream

They wanted to challenge how much carbon monoxide he had in his blood with newly discovered evidence. However, the evidence was requested by the defense in February and only the state had the ability to provide it. They didn't, so the defenses expert hypothesized carbon monixide could have contributed to Floyd's death. The judge ruled that this could prejudice the defence if it was brought up, that he was suspicious of why it wasn't discovered before, that they had been given ample time to prepare for it and he would declare a mistrial if it was brought up infront of the jury. It appears that it was brought up, the defence called an objection, the trial recommenced and now there is a 10+ minute break.

At any rate the judge needs to stick to his guns or recuse himself. Dr Tobin did refer to the blood gas levels obtained by Hennepin county. They just replayed it.

They shouldn't be. They were at that point in another room.

It was a bush league play by the prosecution, and maybe Blackwell and his team she be brought up on charges of contempt as well.

That's what I thought. So the jury doesn't even know about this weasel move.

Just catching up. The prosecution wanted more of that clown Tobin? I guess he is just sitting around waiting to offer more bogus testimony he invented.

The state has demonstrated throughout this incident, from last May until now, that they are fundamentally dishonest.

It also sounds like the judge shouldn’t have allowed this. Seems like good grounds for any conviction being overturned on appeal.

Yeah as far as they know the prosecution was on the up n up.

They have the 'social impact real world reality' to consider, not to mention the threats to their own lives and families once all the identities of the jurypeps have been doxxed.

Do you sacrifice an innocent man to save a nation from the assured and the already threatened social unrest that would destroy the very fabric of our society?

Would not want to be on that Jury.

But to be honest, nothing short of a pubic execution would satisfy the hate that the media has created, and that is not going to happen.

So you be the jury. Did the prosecution effectively prove beyond any reasonable doubt manslaughter in any degree, or a degree of murder?

Or do you feel the officer's actions were not sufficient enough to cause Floyd's death?

There's too much reasonable doubt established for me to give a guilty verdict. But that's just me.
