This whole carbon monoxide thing seems like a waste of time for the defense. Saint Floyd was outside, you would have to literally put your mouth around the tailpipe and hold your nose to die from it.

Maybe it’s just another seed of “reasonable doubt” though, I get that...

Even at that, it would be the CO2 that would kill you not the CO.

Straight up isn't enough CO to kill you in a modern car just sitting at idle.

Think it's too late for me to get paid $35k by the prosecution to be an expert witness?

I have carbon monoxide measurement equipment for boiler tuning and a buddy of mine has a 2020 Explorer Interceptor, although it's not a hybrid.

The defendant is not pleading the 5th by not testifying. He already DID testify. He stated in court "I am not guilty." That alone serves as his testimony.

Pretty much and this is evident in the fact that that the court allows the state to rebut anything the defense presents.

That's how every trial in America works, it's called cross examination. Both sides get it.

It goes to the sloppiness and quick to charge Chauvin for the death instead of conducting a real and full investigation.

State wanted to introduce newly discovered evidence. Judge said no.

If Dr.Tobin brings up the New evidence, Judge Cahill said he would declare a Mistrial.

That was brutal Judge really slapped the State down.

Dr. Tobin is a narcissist he's gonna try to slip it in. He doesn't like being wrong.

If I remember correctly, the expert cited the case of a death from suicide outside of the car, and also said it may have been a contributing factor, not the cause of death. That is it combined with his clogged arteries, his enlarged heart, his drug levels and his stress levels to bring about -- in combination -- his heart attack.

I may be mistaken as I was preoccupied with other stuff, but that's what I thought I heard. They were not arguing that alone caused his death, in fact I seem to remember Nelson clarifying before every statement that this expert is not saying <what they were due to talk about> was the sole cause of his death.

Said he would declare mistrial if Tobin came back and talked about certain subjects.

Blackwell got nervous. Needed 15 minutes to discuss with Dr. Tobin.

We might be one slip up and one Objection from a mistrial.

Dr. Tobin was one of the most drawn out witnesses. I personally didn't care for him at all. Like BBQ said, he's a narcissist. I wonder how the jury will feel about him coming back on the stand.
