Why can't we have a common enemy like aliens...?

There must be laws for media behavior

For ex no endless repetition of faux incidents and active suppression of real incidents, being selective is acceptable within set boundaries. Laws against media syndicates too

The problem is that most humans have already migrated to the enemy's side.
