On the contrary, He can, and will. I hope after the rapture you will reconsider things.

Just don't be deceived by whatever explanation they give for it. The people who vanish will seem like a random sampling of the population, vs. all the so called Christians vanishing.

Most of the major Christian leaders will remain, and most churchgoers will remain. So the people who would be expected to go, will still be here, and that will confuse many. Even more confusing, lots of people who went will have seemed anything but Christian. Maybe they were recent converts, or maybe they were people who had previously given their life to Christ, but had strayed. Oftentimes God will let us stray to humble us.

So remember that. It's not about works, and it's not about church attendance. It's about what's in someone's heart. And most will be laughing at anyone who suggests it was the rapture that caused all those people to vanish. They will say, Oh but my mom's the best Christian ever-never missed a day of church in her life-and yet my whore drug addict thief of a sister is gone.

And of course the majority of churchgoing Christians will not realize it either, because most of them will still be there, along with their pastors. So instead of examining their hearts and actually giving their lives to Christ, vs. just going through the rites and rituals, they will sit there and gladly accept whatever explanation is given to them.
