Theres been a twist in where that liquid came from now, Dr. Fowler says it was water from the exhaust.

I could probably run some calculations to see if at that temperature and humidity the exhaust of a vehicle would even be able to condense.

I had no idea they had a picture of the contraband inside of fentanyl Floyds mouth!
 Quoting: Don Draper from Nantucket

We already knew Floyd had drugs in his mouth. That is how pills with his saliva got into the squad car. The picture puts a nice ribbon on the theory that Floyd was in the process of consuming more drugs, after having just passed out (to the point of being unresponsive) for drugs.

It seems obvious Floyd got some sort of kick when he encountered police. Meaning, he was unable to be awakened one minute. Then he was awake, but collapsing to the ground. He was able to talk, although he was really babbling. So it seems reasonable that he got a quick shot of adrenaline and maybe drugs (meth).

This witness gave a fair assessment. We can’t say for certain why Floyd died. But it seems very unlikely it was due to the restraint.

With this in mind, why did the state pursue this case? It is a terrible case. Of course we know why. But half of America, which is really dumb, doesn’t.

Its reasonable doubt. That's all the Defense needs to prove. I'm sure most Jurors have seen that in their vehicles.

Yeah it is a reasonable consideration. Even the doctor didn’t say it cause his death. He just said it could be a contributing factor. A test that was not performed by the medical examiner would have settled it. Since the state from the very beginning decided it was the officers fault they didn’t consider anything else. There approach was so biased they missed obvious drugs in both vehicles.

Yeah the women talking on CBS were aghast at the idea that Nelson even dared to bring up the possibility that CO could have had anything to do with Fenty Floyds death! If nothing else imo it is casting all kinds of doubt for the jury, which is what Nelson is paid to do...cast reasonable doubt!

That's going to give the State a problem cross examining this witness. The Judge has told the State he will give them time to find a rebuttal witness if they need.

The dew point of gasoline exhaust would be roughly 120 degrees at 0.0% excess oxygen.

That engine is direct injected which means it probably burns lean at idle, which might even lower that a bit.

Pretty safe to say that on a 76 degree day every point in that exhaust system would be above 120 degrees, so I don't think it's possible for that much water to have built up.

It will be easy for the state to find a rebuttal witness. Even as I type this social justice warrior professor types across the country, who will testify for free, are making up something preposterous to present as evidence for the government.

You can see the prosecution knows they are in trouble because they will not allow the witness to give an explanation. Oh, so now it's only yes or no??? When it was the other way around the witness had all fcking day to give a lengthy detailed answer to sway the jurors. This is bullshit.

Blackwell seems to be badgering the witness. He has to give latitude and allow him to give a qualified explanation. Nelson did not treat the prosecution witnesses with such disrespect and near ire.
