Deplorable Zenobia
User ID: 80076822 United States 04/13/2021 06:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Was telling someone today about how crazy our housing market (hot as hell right now) is even despite cost of materials skyrocketing. But at the same time there are more apmt complexes going up I can't keep track of it all (live north of Raleigh, NC). Rent is so steep for even just a studio 1 bdrm apmt. Since I actually participated in one of those 'exercises' w/ handpicked folks from a broad spectrum over 10 yrs ago about future land planning, yeah, my suspicions then have only grown immensely over the Agenda 21 or whatever the hell it's been rebranded now is for real. No land, no home for YOU!! But you can rent and pay damn near close to what you would in a mortgage payment and you WILL be happy! /sarcasm off And thought struggles against the results, trying to avoid those unpleasant results while keeping on with that way of thinking. That is what I call 'sustained incoherence.' ...David Bohm “How, O Zenobia, hast thou dared to insult Roman emperors?” ...Aurelian, 44th Emperor of the Roman Empire |

Quoting: pud2.0 I got into the mobile home market recently. (Kansas/Missouri) I have family out there, so I have connections, and people who can look into the places occasionally. It's something I'm trying...a new investment...I get bored, and need something to play with....no renters yet, but I just started. We'll see. Rule #1- NEVER rent to blacks or White women with "mixed" kids. |

(in the non rent-controlled suburbs like Glendale) -- big, new beautiful building with gyms, game rooms, party rooms, pool on the roof etc. etc. for $1,800 people climb all over each other eager to snap up one of the units -- the whole building rents out in about six weeks and a year later they all get the word: 30 percent rent hike welcome to the big city |

Same up here in Canuckistan, and I can tell you that a lot of the reliable, steady payers are getting shafted with higher rent to offset those that are simply not paying and screwing the system. Government assisted laziness while others take more of the burden - pisses me off, when those that legit NEED help can't get it but others turn away offers of work because they know they can ignore rent, pocket their CERB and play games all day. Annoys me to no end. Does your landlord have multiple rentals? I'd not be surprised if they're using you to offset deadbeats that they can't yet evict. ad ignorantiam - The assumption of a conclusion or fact based primarily on lack of evidence to the contrary. Did you really think landowners are going to just eat 1 year of non-payments from their tenants? NOPE! The other tenants will pay for it. This is the way of the world. |

I lost my ass in Texas and Michigan because renters do not appreciate that which they do not own. If you evict for non payment of rent, on their way out, they kick in walls and appliances. It was a nightmare for me, but I had to use management companies because I was not near my rentals. If you live close and can choose your tenants yourself you might have better luck. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79414877 My wages went down about the same amount but I still gotta work as much. If you want to know if I'd name and shame a company for cutting wages during this fakedemic, the answer is yes. Hermes Deliveries, bunch of c**nts. But... I mean, that makes no SENSE. I know here that deliveries of EVERYTHING are up by a ton, and most of the independent couriers have had to hire since so many people are buying EVERYTHNG online. How the hell did they justify that? Sorry to hear, that's a tough pill. ad ignorantiam - The assumption of a conclusion or fact based primarily on lack of evidence to the contrary. Quoting: eyeDR3 I'd rather invest than save at this point. Money HAS to be making more money otherwise you're losing money. Fiat paper loses value. Metals maintain buying power. In 1900, a laborer could expect to earn, on average, Five dollars a day. That's about 4oz of silver. How much purchasing power did that five dollars have then vs how much purchasing power 4 oz of silver has today. Even at deflated prices, that's $120 and that's about a day's wage for a laborer, and buys basically the same stuff as five dollars did 120 years ago. |

Rule #1- NEVER rent to blacks or White women with "mixed" kids. True that, glp-bro! Staying diverse with investments keeps any 1 area from killing you if it goes south. I was going to get into rental properties, but I have a buddy who lost $20,000+ over the last year on rental properties because people couldn't/wouldn't pay and NY wouldn't let him kick the people out and bring in renters who, you know, actually pay rent. BUT...if you can find certain types of property in opportunity zones, the tax breaks are insane. Timor quem habebitis mox non memoria tenebitur |
