That is a .40 caliber pistol, standard police carry, and known to be very snappy. Much snappier than a Glock 21 (.45 cal). She is holding it with one hand. The recoil would have been very noticeable, hardly controllable for her with one hand. Quoting: Bondhue There is little to no recoil. The recoil would have flipped the end of the barrel up, not push the whole gun and her hand straight back. I thought it was a Glock 27, because it looked small in her hands, but you could be right. You are probably right. A 27 is also .40 cal and in a lighter frame is even snappier than a 22. A lot of police forces use the 27 for a backup pistol. |

Quoting: An Average American Patriot Supposedly she intended to taser the subject and made an error, however, he could have reached inside the car and pulled a gun on the officer. This is the problem when you make QUOTA AND DIVERSITY HIRES it's pretty clear to me that she wasn't qualified to work as an officer at all, probably incompetent but also women as a general rule aren't as decisive on the job. That can result in many extra deaths including their own. FreedomFighter |

That is the only benign explanation. I have a big beefy hand and large forearm and work out daily. I weigh 240. My 36 (compact .45) and 21 (full frame .45) are hard for me to control when I'm not in a 3 point stance. A .40 is much more lively. She would not have had to inform anyone that she shot the suspect. They would have known without a doubt, and their ears would have been ringing bad. They wouldn't have just stood there like nothing happened. I don't think the guy could have driven off either, after taking that much kinetic force to the torso at point blank range. Last Edited by Bondhue on 04/12/2021 05:04 PM |

That's what the body cam shows. Quoting: PresidentElect BlueStateRebel This is unfortunate but the kids appears to be a hoodlum anyway and there are videos of him waving his own gun around. He was also a suspect in an armed robbery. Still, I have always said that women, and I am one, should NOT be front line police officers. Can't take the pressure and lack physical strength and size. Stats show that female officers use their guns much more than males..... Because they panic easier and can't physically handle violent situations We have to start becoming realistic about how we manage the police and military. Keep women in the office and stop routine traffic checks. Doesn't matter that he was a hoodlum. She used lethal force ON ACCIDENT where it was not necessary. That's textbook manslaughter. That's true, but on the other hand, he IS a hoodlum and apparently they found him threatening. This is such a common occurrence in the black community and I don't see this in other communities, even other POC communities like Asian or Hispanic. There is something WRONG with the black community and just ignoring it doesn't help. Why are so many of their young men wanted for violent crimes? Why are they all on drugs or pushing them? Why are they so violent and aggressive with the police? We've seen this over and over and over again. BLACKS HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THEMSELVES. As for the police, as I've said here, I am against routine traffic checks, I'd just send a ticket, I think they cause far more problems than they solve, and I don't believe WOMEN should be front line officers. Women use their guns far more often than men do because they panic and cannot physically control the situation. That said, this was an unfortunate accident from which the family will profit immensely, I'm sure. That sounds like a callous statement but let's face it, this young man is not a loss to either the black community or society in general. And that is how he chose to live HIS LIFE. |

I agree with all of your points. I'm just frustrated with the fact that the real police abuses like this get overshadowed by cases where the cop was not in the wrong. Brionna Taylor vs Dennis Tuttle. George Floyd vs Justine Diamond. Darren Wilson vs the Florida cop who planted drugs on 100's of innocent people. Corrupt and incompetent cop abuses are happening everywhere, but nobody cares unless the perps are black. And in every high profile case, the perp deserved it. From many, covfefe |
