Welp, this wont end well.

I didnt see any reason he should be shot. She done freaked up and burnt the city down.

Now I'm reading that this kid was shot accidentally by a female officer who thought she had pulled out her taser. That's what the body cam shows.

This is unfortunate but the kids appears to be a hoodlum anyway and there are videos of him waving his own gun around. He was also a suspect in an armed robbery.

Still, I have always said that women, and I am one, should NOT be front line police officers. Can't take the pressure and lack physical strength and size. Stats show that female officers use their guns much more than males..... Because they panic easier and can't physically handle violent situations

We have to start becoming realistic about how we manage the police and military. Keep women in the office and stop routine traffic checks.

Just like that officer in Texas who walked into some guy's apartment and shot him because she was confused. Open and shut case of manslaughter.

Why do we focus on the Chauvins of the world (cases where the perp obviously wasn't killed by cops), and ignore cases like these and Dennis Tuttle, or that cop in Florida who planted drugs on dozens of innocent people?

Police abuse is a very real thing - botched no knock raids, planted evidence, or in this case just plain incompetence. The abuse just is not in any of the cases that get media attention (maybe because the ones being abused, framed and unjustly murdered aren't usually black????????).

Doesn't matter that he was a hoodlum. She used lethal force ON ACCIDENT where it was not necessary. That's textbook manslaughter.

I know. Right? You try and run from the police expect bad things to happen. Why get yourself killed or maimed for life over a traffic stop. Go to jail, get bailed out in a few days, and move on with your life.

This keeps happening over and over. This is just nature taking out the weak and stupid.

That looks like a Glock 22. That is a .40 caliber pistol, standard police carry, and known to be very snappy. Much snappier than a Glock 21 (.45 cal). She is holding it with one hand. The recoil would have been very noticeable, hardly controllable for her with one hand.

There is little to no recoil. The recoil would have flipped the end of the barrel up, not push the whole gun and her hand straight back.

It's clear that you cannot resist a LAWFUL AND LEGAL ARREST...it IS clear at least from the video that Wright IS resisting a LAWFUL ARREST. That can get you killed.

Fake as all hell, bullshit no shot was fired. No muzzle flash ,no sound and no blood. This shit was a bad staged event.

I predict the cops did some meddling with the audio levels in the body cam footage...
all in an attempt to throw out some reasonable doubt....... likely some gig worker tech guy trying to be a hero...

The problem in your argument is that noncompiance shouldn't result in summary execution.

I get that she was reaching for her taser...but she pulled her Glock.

That comes down to a lack of muscle memory and training, IMHO.

Her mistake cost a person their life.

Was that person a criminal. Highly likely.

Did that person attempt to flee? The video is clear that he did.

Had he shown himself to be dangerous in any way prior to attempting to get back in the car?

Absolutely not.

Did the officer on the passenger side draw his weapon?

NO.

Did the officer on the passenger side yell, "WEAPON!"

It doesn't appear so.

Was the female officer trying to get around the lead officer and try and taze the driver?

Seriously, WTF?

She's lucky she didn't shoot the other officer, the officer on the passenger side OR the passenger.

Did she just show up one day in a uniform saying, "I'm an officer."
