Yes I'll repeat it, taking a stray dog and hanging it. THEN, just for fun, slicing it's throat. Still alive, stoning it. Yes I hear people say, you can't blame the parent. Oh yes I can, and do! Especially when the only reason David got off with no charges of animal abuse is only because of his father's money and political influence. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 340694 United States 12/16/2007 07:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | * HUCKABEE AS HIGH-MAINTENANCE LADY. Stories abound about Huckabee's complaints over his provisions in office. But my favorite is the one where he became so angry after being refused extra office space when he became Lieutenant Governor that he posted a sign outside his office counting the days he had been denied better digs, like the deficit-reductionists do in the halls of Congress to highlight the national debt. Except it wasn't the national debt, it was several less rooms. The stories that have come out about Huckabee paint a portrait of him not just as somebody not ready for prime-time--a fault he can overcome with his I-never-said-I-was-perfect bit on the stump--but as a real narcissist. The idea that one's past policies (the AIDS position) or actions (the R.J. Reynolds deal) could turn out to have been bad ideas, and require apologies or explanations, doesn't appear to touch him. And the idea that gathering more information on issues (like the NIE, criminals' records, immigration details, or tax policy) could improve his leadership doesn't seem to register, either. The Huckabee credo appears to be this: Feeling moved, Huckabee creates, and God sees that it is good. Born 24 August 1955, Hope Arkansas. I can find no record of Mike Huckabee's birth time on-line, so this is a chart for 12 noon on his date of birth. Uranus, Jupiter, Pluto, Mars and Venus all in Leo - a hot quintet cooled down by Sun and Mercury in Virgo. All those Leo planets must incline him towards the public stage, be it pulpit or political platform. What would he like to hear - in his wildest dream? "Lights, camera, action!" Virgo Sun and Mercury are solid and sensible, nitpicking and critical, they probably find it hard to get along with his Leo-driven alter ego. I would like to know his time of birth to discover where this cluster of planets falls. Natal Moon is going to be in passionate, somewhat paranoid Scorpio, along with Saturn, whatever his birth time. Neptune in Libra completes the set. Jupiter and Saturn in Scorpio are in exact (to the minute) square aspect. Robert Pelletier ends his assessment of this aspect in his book "Planets in Aspect" like this: "Faith is your greatest ally when nothing else seems to work for you. It can sustain you through difficult periods and comfort you when you reach your goals with assurance that you have done your job well." One thing Mike Huckabee does have is plenty of faith. From Matt Taibbi's article linked above .....in a recent appearance at the Prestonwood Baptist Church near Dallas, he told audiences that Christians are sitting in the pole position of the race to Armageddon. "If you're with Jesus Christ, we know how it turns out in the final moment," he said. "I've read the last chapter in the book, and we do end up winning."" [link to twilightstarsong.blogspot.com] |

If he gets convinced he's right (and the Bible tells him so...) he might get some Messianic wild-hair that would make The Decider look positively comtemplative. Plus: he'd probably give-ear to even MORE Rapture Bunny bullshit, like Pastor "Strangelove" Hagee, and his Armageddonites, and all of the anti-science cretins that Shrub currently entertains... "Dry-Drunk on Jesus Juice" vs. Jack Daniels could be even more dogmatic, eh ? |

ACTION NEEDED: DEMAND INVESTIGATION (Miller County, Arkansas) Two boy scout counselors, 17 year-old Clayton Frady and 18 year-old David Huckabee, the son of Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, have admitted to catching a stray dog during their summer session at Camp Pioneer in Hatfield, AR, and hanging the dog by his neck, slitting his throat and stoning him to death. Camp officials, who did not report the crime to law enforcement officials, have admitted that the act did occur and have fired the boys from their positions. However, no charges have been filed against the young men. Arkansas State Police conducted a perfunctory investigation, but did not attempt to locate witnesses to the crime. Cruelty to animals is a Class A Misdemeanor in Arkansas and if convicted, Huckabee and Frady could be sentenced to one year in jail and fined $1,000.00. Candidate’s Son Arrested With Gun At Arkansas Airport This article was published on Thursday, April 26, 2007 7:40 PM CDT in News By Andrew DeMillo The Morning News LITTLE ROCK — David Huckabee, son of Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, was arrested at Little Rock’s airport Thursday after a federal X-ray technician detected a loaded Glock pistol in his carry-on luggage. “I removed the bag and asked Mr. Huckabee if he knew what he had in the bag,” Little Rock police officer Arthur Nugent wrote in a report after being summoned to a security checkpoint. “He replied he did know.” Huckabee, 26, later pleaded guilty in Little Rock District Court after being charged with a misdemeanor count of possessing a weapon in a prohibited place. “It was a silly mistake,” Huckabee told reporters as he left the Pulaski County Jail. When asked whether it would affect his father’s presidential campaign, Huckabee responded, “It shouldn’t.” District Judge Lee Munson gave Huckabee a one-year suspended jail sentence and ordered him into 10 days of community service — which Huckabee can avoid by paying $100. Huckabee will be on probation for a year. Fines and costs totaled $855. The son of the former Arkansas governor held a concealed weapons permit at the time of the incident but state police are taking steps to revoke it... In 1998, Huckabee was among two boys fired from a Boy Scout camp after a stray dog was killed after wandering onto camp property. Huckabee, 17 at the time, said the dog appeared ill; no charges were filed. The elder Huckabee said then that politics was behind the dog-killing accusation. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 338786 United States 12/18/2007 05:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | writing for The Washington Times, Greg Pierce quoted Hillyer as saying, "[Huckabee] used public money for family restaurant meals, boat expenses, and other personal uses. He tried to claim as his own some $70,000 of furniture donated to the governor's mansion. He repeatedly, and obstinately, against the pleadings even from conservative columnists and editorials, refused to divulge the names of donors to a 'charitable' organization he set up while lieutenant governor--an outfit whose main charitable purpose seemed to be to pay Huckabee to make speeches. Then, as a kicker, he misreported the income itself from the suspicious 'charity.'" In addition, Corsi also exposed the fact that Mike Huckabee worked with Mexican President Vicente Fox to help provide cheap Mexican labor for Tyson foods and other large Arkansas corporations. According to Corsi, "Trevino confirmed he was state director of the League of United Latin American Citizens, also known as LULAC, an activist group strongly advocating for the rights of Hispanic immigrants in the U.S., when on Oct. 3, 2003, he accompanied Huckabee in a state airplane to visit [President Vicente] Fox in Mexico." Dr. Jerome Corsi reports that "Financial inducements arranged by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee to establish a Mexican consular office in Little Rock may have violated state law, according to an Arkansas attorney." Writing for World Net Daily, Dr. Corsi exposed the fact that Mike Huckabee "worked with some of the state's most prominent and politically powerful businesses to establish the [Mexican] consulate as a magnet for drawing illegal immigrants to the state to accept low-paying jobs." Corsi goes on to report that "Arkansas attorney Chip Sexton provided WND a written legal brief arguing the state government's sublease to Mexico of office space for the consulate was illegal under Arkansas law. Sexton contended the deal raised questions about the appropriateness of private citizens and corporations in Arkansas providing financial incentives for the government of Mexico to locate a consulate office in Little Rock." Corsi also writes that "Robert Trevino, commissioner of Arkansas Rehabilitation Services, told WND he and Huckabee helped arrange state and private financial support to induce Mexico to establish the consulate as a business development 'quid pro quo.' "Trevino signed on July 7, 2006, a 'Facilities Use Agreement' with Mexican consular officials to rent state government office space for $1 a year on the second floor of the Arkansas Rehabilitation Services building at 26 Corporate Hills in Little Rock." |
