LOL sheep circles
The explanation is simple though. The farmer laid feed down in a circular pattern.

Would have to have been a lot of feed directly on the ground for them to stay in that formation long enough for a bicyclist to travel from the distant shot to the near shot.... Also, I don't know if sheep are prone to colic, but it would be dangerous with a horse to lay feed on dirt.... my very cells scream "no" at the thought of it.... When I zoom in on the photo it looks like there might be hay racks that blend in with the sheep... hard to tell.
