The centrifuges that are mentioned are basically dryers.... the yellowcake or whatever.... is pumped through a centrifuge which spins in excess of 100,000 rpm yeah you read that right a 100k plus, the speed of the material being shot out of the centrifuge dries it......... moisture is collected usually at the bottom of the vessel......this is very basically how it works. Now these pumps /centrifuges are very highly tuned and machined, balanced, static and dynamically, as well as being very expensive.

The controller for the centrifuge possibly an inverter controlled through a central control room which these days are linked into the internet,for the sake of maintainence, downloading updates, and so on...........this is where Israel used there Stuxnet virus....... what this virus did was reduce and increse the speeds of the centrifuges stopping them and then restarting them, this kind of abuse would quickly destroy the thrust bearings then the whole centrifuge would suffer from extreme vibration, and this is what Israel did to the Iranian centrifuge gallery because there will be dozens of these centrifuges and hoppers lines up in a large factory....all using the Stuxnet virus.

Why do I know this .....my brother ...we dont speak, he is an arsehole.....but he is an electrical engineer at a large plant on Teesside, now the machines they use there use a similar, well not similar the same type for rolling mills inverter controller, but they would send out malfunctioning inverters. and have them refurbished by a local electronics company, but this company was closing down so my brother in order to keep them stocked up with refurbished inverter controllers had his lads scour the plant for any and every inverter they could, which I think he said was 23 inverters ........... sent them off to this electronics company and had them refurbished there was 3 (I think he said) would not repair....so 3 or 4 weeks later after these inverters were back at the plant, my brother had a visit from MI6 and some other people, who did not introduce them selves, wanting to know why he had so many of these inverter types both repaired and new ones ordered as these were the very same inverter controllers that the Iranians used on there yellowcake centrifuges and were worried tht he or someone was shipping or smuggling these inverters out to Iran because there was a embargo and they had agents all over the world trying to secure these devices. Now this is a very watered down version of what went on as I would probebly find myself in trouble as well as my arsehole younger brother, but it really is a True story
