there is a simple answer to this for those dealing with children with food, arts/crafts, school work (ie testing).

No one touches *anything* until everyone is served. Period.

I believe that is from etiquette 101. Especially at fancy weddings, etc. So no one even touches a fork until all at a table have their plates in front of them. Who cares about the food being cold when under threat of lawsuits these days?

Other aspects of this is it being a daycare, kids are too young to have that level of self-control to wait. So bring everything to a table so everyone gets served at the same time. I wonder in that video if any kids are autistic or other special needs---maybe they were the ones who got served first, whiteness a sad coincidence here, because the autistic ones are the first to throw tantrums if they don't get their food first. Seen it everywhere---especially at theme parks: autistic kids appear to be healthy and normal but make them wait more than 30 seconds and it's like a demon took them over...


The daycare allowing cameras all the time meant well, given all the nonsense today...I imagine they are holding on to the rest of the video for when this comes to court....

Sadly, everywhere you go you need to act as though someone is recording you, whether you see the camera or not...

And develop the facade of friendliness and warmth to disarm another's antagonism, unless you long for confrontation...

This has happened since long before there were cams in homes to capture the moment.

What happened to my family was the opposite, where my children in daycare were left outside to 'clean the yard', while the children of the black family had their lunch. When they were finished eating, and the yard was deemed 'clean enough', my children were allowed to eat what was left of the lunch.

Not only did they not return to that daycare, and it was reported, I quit using daycare altogether and a family member started watching my children in our home when I wasn't there.

The sad reality is.. no matter how 'well qualified' the daycare provider seems to be, we cannot always predict what can happen or fully protect our children in our absence. So we use our best judgement in who our children is being watched by.

The other sad reality is that we are in a world that seems to have gone insane. The media is really over-hyping the saddest stories, looking for the highest ratings. Rarely do we hear the newsworthy good stories of how things work well, when they do.

We all have stories, both good and bad. Yet when it comes right down to it.. are we REALLY as divided from each other (no matter the race, topic, etc) as they'd like for us to be?

Isn't the truth more along the lines that despite our differences, we can actually sit down with anyone of a different race, or with anyone who has a differing viewpoint than ours, etc, and have a rational and meaningful conversation?

THIS is what we need to keep uppermost in mind, as the media keeps hammering 'division' at us!
