Who will quit their job to parent full time? Little House on the Prairie was great until the whole town had to bail out. Totally worth it though, compared to perpetual city life.

Well, more specifically, the Federal Reserve does. The birth certificate is an ownership document that transfers "ownership" to the State while maintaining that the parents remain as "legal guardians" of the children responsible for their upbringing. When the State wants to do something with their property, they will, regardless of the wishes of the guardians.
