Anonymous Coward User ID: 79292370 United States 04/11/2021 07:35 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation	2 deputies shot in the head outside Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Two Salt Lake County Sheriff's deputies and one suspect were involved in a shoot-out Saturday morning outside of the jail. The deputies were performing routine perimeter security of the jail when they came upon the shooter in a grassy area by the sheriff's office parking lot at 10:29 a.m. The suspect was shot and killed. It is not known what led to the shooting. The officers were not wearing body-cam videos as jail staff but surveillance video is being reviewed by the protocol team. Salt Lake County Sheriff Rosie Rivera said the deceased suspect was approximately 30 years old, possibly Hispanic, and may have been a transient. She added that the jail is on lockdown.
