Anonymous Coward User ID: 79071717 United States 04/11/2021 09:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So my wife and I planned a trip to Cancun with 8 other friends in January. We were to be at an all inclusive from April 2 through 10th. Booked and paid for it. Then the mandatory covid testing to re enter the US was ordered. I was very skeptical and wanted to cancel but the wife didn't. The resort will test us for free and if we couldn't leave they would let us stay for free if quarantined. I still wanted to cancel. But I against my better judgement agreed to come. Quoting: johnny Dangerously Well 3 days before our flight home we all took a rapid test. Everyone tested negative except my wife. They retested with a rapid and then a pcr test( all of which we had to pay for). They are all positive. She has no symptoms and feels good. So they immediately moved us to a different property for quarantine. She has to stay in her own room for 10_14 days. There is hotel security watching these rooms. They offered me a room below hers if I wanted to pay for it at a discount. Well I'm not gonna leave her in Mexico by herself so I reluctantly agree.. So in 8 days i will have to take another rapid test to get on the flight home and my wife will need a letter from the doctor stating she is cleared to fly. My worry is that i will test positive and I will have to spend another 10_14 days here. I'm sending her home regardless. Just hope we have jobs left when we get back... Well ask me anything. I got plenty of time to answer I just had a similar trip. If you are allowed the leave get get your own test. Not the hotel nurses. I'm sorry. No more trips for us out of the States right now it was stressful as hell, came home broke |

If you don't have to hold a job now it's the ideal time to travel, if you can get to an overseas destination, which most can't. Only a handful of countries are open to Americans without a 2 week quarantine and tests. I had no idea Mexico was making it so hard on tourists; that sucks. I feel confident this whole thing will end because of the commecial advertising and advanced bookings happening now. None I have seen mention any protocals so obviously big travel firms expect all to be lifted, mostly by June 1, the beginning of high season. People book vacations, weddings and parties in June years in advance; they already lost a year. Many popular vacations are booked three and four years in advance. |

Try to get your hands on vitamin D, C, Zinc and Quercetin Phytosome and take them regularly. Then look on the bright side - you have antibodies and can be recognized as such. No more COVID tests after this one! Like I told my ex-wife, I said: honey, I never drive faster than I can see. Besides that, it’s all in the reflexes… |

I got plenty of time to answer What I don’t understand is if even the corruption CDC & WHO confirm & officially stated testing is, what over 90%, false positives & the PCR test don’t work . Then why is all this testing still treated so highly and being mandatory by so many places & countries? It’s a game of Russian roulette. We all know it’s about the DNA data collection, but how can schools & borders & travel companies demand non-sick people get a fraudulent test that requires praying you don’t get cursed with false-positive ? Why have these businesses & facilities not adjusted their testing mandate to the updated & confirmed false testing results that come from the same bullshit CDC they claim to be following? |

Schmidt is a nurse practitioner at Children's Minnesota and has been fully vaccinated since the beginning of January. Even so, she opted to get the hotel's COVID insurance. The $30 insurance covers a person's stay at the hotel for an additional 14 days, including a room and food. She was the only one vaccinated out of her travel group that tested positive for covid. YES. It is 100% about this. You never saw this amount of travel and social posturing before social media exploded. Personally I do not travel, do not care about travel, and wish people would choose to travel less in general because it is devastating this planet.
