Yes, many of the younger generation have never had to work for anything. I have a step daughter who has a Master's, yet works at a job that pays ok, but nothing near what she could be making except for her lack of ambition to get a better one. She is a good kid but somewhat resents what her Father and I have.

I remember back when I was a kid and when I graduated high school I thought our family was well off as my parents learned about budgeting and staying out of debt. Later when my Father passed and I did the tax returns for my Mom, I was shocked at how much less their income was than I had thought.

Instant gratification was not a part of their lexicon. Instant gratification is what the younger generation expects.

On the topic of population growth - Catholic Charities are bringing in a lot of Catholics from Mexico and Central America - our population is going to explode just from all the illegals entering. Perhaps the end of single-family zoning is part of a plan for the federal government to seize lands in rural towns and build these monstrosity multi-family dwellings to house them all.

In my rural community there is a zoning law that single-family dwellings must be on at least a 1 acre parcel. I'm not sure how the Federal government intends to change our state and local laws with Biden's Infrastructure Bill but I have no doubt that is a huge part of their 'Build Back Better' agenda.

It is even worse than that. All throughout the United States cities are already starting to eliminate new single housing zoning themselves. On top of that they are rezoning all the existing single family housing districts to allow the homes to be duplexes and triplexes.

So this is already underway because likely your city or the city next to it is already drafting code changes particularly in blue states.

I think what they are really doing is getting ready for the inevitable economic collapse that isn't far off. This move will fundamentally double housing overnight thereby driving the cost down (higher supply) with the result being living in a shitty overcrowded neighborhood.

We don't have dense soviet style apartments so they are taking the stock of what we have and re purposing it in the same manner.

Easily explainable by the fact she is female, and eligible for affirmative-action and benefits, under the grand racial-gender based, Democratic, POC-Female voter alliance.
